Hey Michael sorry about your experience you say your ablation was over three years ago......but this is episodes since a year It kind of sounds like maybe you had episodes post ablation (first two years), so I agree with Shannon in that you should maybe look at a touch-up.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
He is actually in Louisville, KY. I had the pleasure of having a couple of appointments with him and meeting. very nice guy and very interesting. I love reading his blogs. He has actually experienced Afib once himself so I thin he undestands some of our stuff!by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Duke, Sorry for your episode. I dont have answers but I can totally relate. I dont think we can ever figure it out totally. I am 8 weeks post ablation and havent had prolonged spells but still having kicks and short runs. The prob is I am active and I fight the thought that putting up a shelf or carrying my garbage out or weed eating causes my problems. I hope not but it drives me crazy. Iby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM

George, thanks. I am asking on here because I get better answers from those of us that have experience. An EP can answer some questions but from experience I know I got the "goofy glare" when I told my EP I was having a sharp chest pain on exertion and a weird sensation (LBB 15 years ago and was told it is not possible to feel LBBB. After my own research and providing the data and sby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks yes I'll check that article out. I have been on Flec for about 6-7 yrs 100 mg 2x I have experienced these spells some in the past rare occasion but just seems really weird this timeby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well I guess im about 8-9 weeks post ablation. After the first two weeks I havent has afib. Well I have a few occasional short runs of something ?? Not sure. I knew before, that my use of flecainide caused a rate dependent Left bundle Block. Typically it would trigger if my heart rate gets up to 115 or 120. Earlier years I actually had a sharp chest pain at on-set proven during stress testing.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am surprised with all the TV commercials that people still have no idea what Afib is, never heard of it. I would never go as far as to say I dont feel disabled by this. ?? I mean I was an athelete. With Afib can you take off running a mile or so and suffer no consequence? I have forgotten what it feels like to run and actually have frequent dreams I am running. Can you climb all the stepby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Any thoughts: Im taking 400 mG Magnesium (Oxide) upsets my stomach every time ! Is this the wrong type? Big Question (s) of the Day: why is it that non of these High Ranking renowned Heart specialists ever prescribe a nutritionist for us if we are so sensitive to foods, minerals, caffeine, etc. ? why is this not part of our prescriptive medical plan (from the Doc)?by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Dennis I will look into that. I kind of wondered about Potassium even tho Im doing a couple of low sodium V8s a day I have been getting a few cramps at night in my toesby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well until today I have been doing pretty good. Now I am having my rhythmic pac's about every tenth beat! I am discouraged I have to admit. Kind of fell into that what , why frame of mind. I am taking an antibiotic due to a small bladder infection. Antibiotics don't affect us do they ? Just coincidental I started getting a few palps a day or two ago when I started it?? I did feel tiby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
That is an extremely interesting article !!by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Excellent Shannon. Appreciate your representationby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am asking this question based on curiosity. Let's just say I am asking for a friend. lol Is taking a medicine to improve sex for a man like Viagra or Cialis dangerous to us that have afib and/or taking a drug like flecainide? I saw on the internet if you have a serious rhythm problem to consult a doc. and I know they may lower blood pressure, so if you were on a high dose of metoprlol mby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
LOL, we are def a creative bunch !!!by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
WOW! This is awesome......We really could have a band! Now I wonder if there is a connection between our musical internal time keepers and this afib stuff! Anyway taking ideas for the group name. HAHAby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I past the two week mark this week. Im feeling pretty good. I have a bump or flip here and there not too often. what I do have seems weaker than before! My neck puncture is still sore a little; groin bruising going away. I have a weird sensation that my sense of rhythm is a little better ?? (I was/am a drummer), that may be in my head! I have been doing finish carpentry work on the house andby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thats exactly what I had post ablation couple weeks ago. Started when they gave me dinner in the hospital. Had bouts of that for several days and then afib for a couple.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Nancy You know I had my PVI two weeks ago and about day 9 I had an AURA Migraine. We have snow on ground in KY and just all the brightness next thing I know I was seeing a swirling circle in my vision. I have only had one of these before. But anyway that is a good possibilityby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey steve good news, congrats! Ive had four ablations shortest was five hours - longest 9 hours Just had my PVA two weeks ago it was about 6 hours. Guess it all dependsby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Nancy thanks. Yes I think of you also hope you are doing better. I know for two days my gut was very bloated. I think it was from the stuff they make you swallow to coat the esophagus. I just finished my last dose (7 day). In the hospital it was a pink pepto bismo tasting stuff and the pill at home. But anyway hope yours gets back to normal. Im doing better including the ear!! Back to woby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well the sites are healing well. I had six catheter sheaths, so bruising is huge! Pain has subsided. Including chest pain. Out of hospital had a couple days of intermittent PAC Day three went into afib that lasted two days Day four constant PAC Day five was a great day a few PAC Day six afib again lasted on/off until dinner then just a few PAC Day seven afib in morning in and out stoppeby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have the same experience with mine. I've been on flec for about seven yrs tho. So I don't know if the flec has a big part in it or just alcohol.. I have noticed periods where beer triggers and the after a while beer won't trigger. The same with clear liquor and also bourbon. For me it seems worse the day or two after always which makes no sense. Timby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Shannon, he is a really good guy. He told me to just ignore the afib it is to be expected for now! Hard for me to ignore tho. I think if I was car diverted it would just return right now. He prob knows that. Just don't want to stroke out! It is odd you mention that study because I remember years ago he made a comment to the effect of my afib back when I never had afib showing. Thanks everyone, you help my mind! I'm just staying constant pac's and afib but I'm keeping the belief that this is an indication the correct area was irritated and in time will heal and scar and stop!! As always it's a total mind game but I guess we have to do it. Thanks so muchby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well, I'm not going to say that was fun! But I am home, unfortunately in and out of afib. I guess that is to be expected a while at least that's what they are telling me. I hope because of the irritation and all the activity now that is a sign he was in the right area?? I'm very similar to smackman according to Shannon's report of him. Lynn, in all fairness I have seen Natale before and he did great with me however I have sleeked opinion from two eps in louisville and one in Cleveland who feel he would def be the greatest but is very aggressive. This may be a great thing it occasionally may not be. So I have heard aggressive possibly overly at times but still highly recommendedby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Good. Luck smackman, I'm lying here now with both ivs in each arm prepped to go. I just told the nurse I haven't and can't make an episode happen since last Wednesday. Oh well I'm all in now.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
