Been lifting throughout my experience with AF. No issues, but don't overdo. Start slow. Bring your pulse-ox with you to the workout. Over time, you'll learn how much time you'll need to recover between sets. This is key. No super-intensive sessions (e.g., max lifts). Good luck! /LarryGby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for highlighting this, NLAMAF. Jackie has always been a terrific researcher!by LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Liked the vid, NLAMAF. Thanks!by LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes, Kim. Our fellow afibbers steered you right... a calcium heart scan. All the best! /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wow, TMAC! So sorry to hear that... and glad it was mild. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey, Kim. Don’t know much about how medical care is provided in Canada. Here in the states, my GP — not my EP — orders labs for me: A1C, electrolyte panel, etc. Not knowing anything about you, a calcium scan may be appropriate and useful. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Agree with Carey. Continue what you’re doing, Elizabeth. Keep following healthful lifestyle practices, drink your mag water, take other supplements as you believe are appropriate, based on the guidance in this forum, and continue your yearly EP appointments. We can lead excellent, healthy lives while in AF. All the best! /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for the post, Island. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Pokey —Why does the doc want to stop the BB? /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
On it six months. No issues at all. /LarryGby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
New ablation technique -- no burning or freezing. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quick reminder: ablations carry risks... from the relatively minor to the ultimate. Just peruse carefully the pre-procedure release form requiring a sign-off. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
So we wait for generic NOACs. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
The $64K question: when will it "hit the street?" /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Joyce — Truly baffling post! Please let us know how this goes for your sis. All the best. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
@tsco — Since statins can help with cholesterol and plaque, I’d think they'd make a lot of sense for afibbers... as we share a major interest in reducing stroke risk. If it turns out we’re one of the few that experiences statin side effects, then that would need to be balanced in... but out of the box, statins may be our friends. @Jackie — Thanks for sharing the link to the MC piece.by LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey there, Colindo. Which natto product are you taking? Where do you get? Thinking about adding it to my supplement list. Thanks. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Coincidentally, a close friend just reported to me this past weekend that CBD is helping her sleep better... using only a drop like you, B. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
+1 @ Wolfpack. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
L — Always best to review with your treating physician. God luck with everything. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey, Pam. I hear it in my left ear when laying on that side. Believe this is fairly common with afibbers. Doesn't freak me out... just don't like it... so I change my position. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Interesting: Spotted some on the team drinking: INGREDIENTS -- Reverse Osmosis Water, Potassium Bicarbonate, Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride. Our WW is better, and much more economical! /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
+1... I'm with all on this thread. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Witnessed a patient getting the "elephant's trunk" TEE 13 years ago. Extremely uncomfortable for the patient... and seriously difficult for me to watch! Had the TEE done on me while under anesthesia... piece of cake! /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Agree with you, safib. I've cared for, and supervised, numerous patients on OACs through the years. Weekly ER visits, bi-monthly transfusions??? Never encountered these. Of course, I'd much rather a non-OAC solution to AF stroke risk... such as a LAA device... but I'm not convinced the above "observations" are real-world occurrences in the US. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sammy's post reminds me of my initial interface with Afib. My dizzy / faint-like episodes (two of them) occurred while driving. Was able to get a quick appointment with a cardio... and didn't have to go the route of an ER visit. These symptoms are potentially life-changing... so anyone experiencing them, please take prompt action. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
Excellent posts, AB! Thanks for letting us know. /Lby LarryG - AFIBBERS FORUM
