I have only had three flutter episodes in three years since my ablation for A-fib. I’m wondering if you are saying that if it’s not a big problem just leave it be. I kind of thought I was perhaps wrong in that I didn’t go sooner for my “touchup “ablation after the A-Fib ablation. But after having this third episode & not liking to be on meds, it seems like a very good idea to have it taken caby Madeline - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi, I don't know if this is permissible, but I want to ask about what kind of N95 masks to get for travel to Austin. What guidelines - FDA approved, made in USA?, KN95?, NIOSH?, what parameters to look for & what not to get. Just in case, shouldn't we get an extra good mask for travel to Austin for my ablation? Airport time, connecting flights, place to stay, etc. I remember aby Madeline - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you, Carey. Iam not assuming to have an LAA. I thought that you and Shannon might have indicated that my flutter was most likely atypical left and I wasn’t sure if you meant if so, that meant its source could mean I would have to have an LAA. I am certainly not wishing for any big scenario. My highest heart rate was 214 and I have since read that it seemed like 240 or more were left-sideby Madeline - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quoteallofus If the source of your arrhythmia is found to be located in the LAA, Dr. Natale would want to isolate that area to block the errant signals originating from that source. If he does isolate the LAA, I believe the statistics are 60% that your TEE results would show requiring either a watchman or long term use of blood thinners, possibly for life. Hello, I want to ask some questions about what it means if I have left atypical flutter post successful A-fib ablation 2019. When I go to Dr. Natale for left flutter ablation, does that necessarily mean I will have that LAA procedure. I’m not quite sure what all this means. Can you fix the left flutter without doing that other procedure? And if you do get the LAA, does that mean you have to bby Madeline - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hello, I am an afib & flutter-free pt about 3 yrs. Today I got flutter again. Long story short, I wondered how this struck out of the blue this morning while I was tending some plants outside after 1 cup decaf & a bit of my GF blueberry muffin. Beats were 214. QuoteGeorgeN Well, George, I certainly don't have low pulse rates & BPs like you do. I frequently can have high pulse rate. It was 92 late last night, but my BP was fine. I just don't understand it. There can also be a fitness component. Endurance exercise can lower resting heart rates, though I wouldn't go wild about this. Since your resting heart rate is <by Madeline - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteGeorgeN And don't think that things like whitecoat hypertension are due to you being afraid of doctors. My wife has a perfectly normal BP that's typically 110/70-ish no matter when she measures it. But at the doctor's office she's often 140/80-ish. QuoteGeorgeN I believe if I remember from this site one wants to keep their pulse rate below 100 for sure. Is it okay to run in the high 80s? Thank you so much Carey. You are very helpful. I have never done an edit before and hope that this is right. I made the edit in the first sentence and I’m explaining now: my ablation was not in 2020, it was in 2019. George, I wondered if New Century prices reflected the lab's fee for the blood draw.
