The doctor wants to start me on a Ticosyn so I stopped the Flecanide today. I will be going back to he hospital on Tuesday to start the new drug. BTW the TEE was a total disaster again.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

Are youon any medications? In the very early phases of my Affib I would often times get light headed preceeding an attack to the point of things going black but never passed out. I have very low BP as well. Those attacks never lasted very long. So far as my heart rate goes I unfortuantely never got a recording at those times. The only recordings I have ever gotten without meds was anywhere froby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quoteonewaypockets Rocket, It's worth traveling to see Dr. Natale. I did. Best wishes. I have no doubt and that is my plan.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotemwcf Is a TEE any worse than an upper GI endoscopy/gastroscopy? Is the tube around the same diameter? I’ve had 5 endoscopes down my gullet over the last 25 years with nothing but throat spray as I always want to drive myself straight home afterwards. A bit of gagging/wretching and a lot of eye-watering but not that bad otherwise! Never had a GI endoscopy/gastroscopy so cant give you comparby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
My issues with the TEE stem from my first experience. I wasnt sedated beyond the spray they shoot down your throat and that wasn't much. The Doctor pretty much sprayed my throat and shoved it in, almost in a single motion. Then he yanked it out and left. The nurse that was going to give me sedation still had the needle in her hand. She and the tech fell alll over themselves apologizing. In tby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Had a great conversasion with Shannon on Sunday. What a great person and wealth of information. Wish I could have recorded all we talked about.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Good luck to you. I have had 2 ablations looking towards my third and have only ever felt excitement. NSR is a wonderful thing and you will be fine.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had sent my EP an email Friday and called this morning concerning my persistent affib since last Tuesday and the possibility of having a cardioversion. He called me back about 15 minutes later and we discussed the cardioversion as well as possible options following. He mentioned staying on Flecanide with the possibility of switching me to Tikosyn which does not thrill me in the least. He alsoby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

QuoteDavidK How to contact Dr. Natale is listed here: Thanks for the link. I got online today and he is listed a being in network. Ill call and talk to a human being on Monday to verify. I forgot what a wealth of information this site is.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
As I lay here in affib almost 3 months post ablation I am starting to conside possible options. I have been in affib now since Tuesday and contiung to take the flecanide and metroprolal. I also started back on the elequis. I am curious as to the process of seeing a doctor in another state as I live north of Pittsburgh PA. I know Dr Natale used to work at Cleveland clinic but I read that he noby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sent the lifewatch monitor back on Tuesday. I got 2 more recordings this week. One while doing light excercise and the other just before sending it back. The first was a normal recording that my EP wanted me to send to him. The second was a recording of my current arrhythmia which I am sure is affib. At this point I have pretty much been in affib since the second recording on Tuesday. I'mby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
So glad your test went well. Leading up to my first ablation I had to have a stress test done. I had been in afib/flutter for several weeks leading up to it so they decided to give ma a medically induced stress test instead. Again so glad everything went well for you.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteThe Anti-Fib I had that sort of thing happened to me. Going along fine for months on end, no worries. Go into the EP Doctor, for a Appointment that had been scheduled for several months (hard to get into see him). Then at the Dr's there is a bit of consternation about how I am handling my situation, and a little bit of frustration on his part, then within the next several days I go iby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was looking through some notes on my blog from my last ablation in 2009. From what I remember and what my notes say I experienced afffib while in teh hospital on the day three. None after that. I was on flecanide and metoprolol for six months after that point. I havent given up just yet and understand that this can happen during teh first few months. That being said I do have my sites on DR.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Everyone, I had posted back in January about my second Ablation (Cryoablation). As I stated then I was in NSR for about the first 10 days or so then had to go back on Flecanide and Metoprolol as I had a bout of Affib at the time. Since then I have had zero issues, at least that I am aware of. 2 days ago a LIFEWATCH event monitor arrived from my doctor as a followup to my procedure toby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I agree that this information is suspect. As I stated before following an Affib attack while cycling. Once my heart converted to NSR I could ride as far and as hard as I wanted to without fear of a second attack. My HR during my episodes would go above 200 bpm.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
One other oddity was that once I converted back to nsr while riding. I could ride as hard as I wanted to and for however long with no more events. Following my ablation in 2009 I noticed that my heart reactivity to cycling seamed to change. Before the ablation I was a decent sprinter. Not world class but could hold my own. I could easily ramp my heartrate up. Following the ablation I could stiby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I first experienced affib in my early 20's I'm currently in my early 50's. During that time i continued to train and race bicycles. In the early stages of my afffib the monster would show up on occasion. Sometimes I would just stop riding and wait to convert and proceed on my way. Other times, fewer times that is, during races I would just continue on.. The only issues I ever experby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hello Everyone, Its been quite some time since I have been here. So long in fact I had to create a new account. I have been dealing with affib since the age of 24 so its been 28 years now. Had my first ablation back in 2009 and was basically event free up until the past year. This past year has my events were becoming more and more frequent. Since 2009 I used Flecanide 100mg as a PIP but tby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
