What you're doctor has recommended makes a lot

Joe, my total cholesterol went up to 180 after adding 1/2 avocado daily and eating more nuts and believing all the hype that good fats are good for us. Seems altho they are good they also are loaded with saturated fats. So for now will eliminate and get cholesterol checked in a few months to see if it helped. My diet is clean otherwise. Just curious re your comment about glucose tolerance, so far

so have been on Eliquis now since 2017 for AF. Last week cardiologist said my carotid artery ultrasound came back "moderately" blocked on one side and that I should add a baby aspirin daily I am shocked at the blockage as my diet is plant based, I am slim and walk daily and other than AF at 80yo (F) I am in excellent health. My cholesterol could be better (180) altho HDL/Triglycerides

good question, he said they needed to check to make sure nothing else was wrong with my heart as I have never had one done. I had politely refused (altho agreed to the artery ultra sound as that is non invasive). anne h

I see that he has written down that during my ECG it showed right bundle branch block with secondary polarization. originally was taking Cardiocascular Research Mag Taurate but ran across info online citing it tested high for arsenic Switched to Pure Formula Mag Glycinate but not sure its working so wondering if there is a powdered form of mag so one can bypass capsules/pills that is not fizzy like Calm? anneh

Jackie where do you get that magnesium? I had been taking Pure Formula mag glycinate but now questioning how well it absorbs. Switched to Kal mag glycinate tablets but now sure how well that absorbs so was thinking of getting a powder

thnx Carey, he is everything to me esp since my husband died 2017. He is a registered therapy dog and brought joy to many people but have retired him now he has the cancer. He is currently doing quite well but prognosis is not good. We also see a holistic vet so he benefits from that too.

Jackie what supplements do you find help adrenal fatigue. I really don't think I have a big problem with it, however I am easily stressed right now as my beloved dog has cancer and at same time I need to move from my home of almost 50yrs and downsize

well after no afib for over a year I had one this July and now 3 episodes in September. Each one in the mornings. I think the July one I woke up with it but these past 3 I have been wide awake laying in bed, getting up slowly and then BOOM. Usually episodes last anywhere from 3-12hrs (I take 25mg metoprolol tartrate as soon as I realize I am afib). I also take the usual supplements daily - magnes

sorry could not find my original info but it def stated that strokes can happen when you stop taking NOACs, a sort of rebound effect. I am wondering if, in that case, one would be safer to add Nattomax or similar product while stopping NOAC

this is my biggest fear ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/306... This showed that for a few weeks after stopping NOACs there was an increased risk of severe stroke due to the NOACs inducing a hypercoaguable state on withdrawal.

interesting about taking Eliquis PIP. Seems to me that on my recent refill some of the info on the warning label has changed. Seems to focus more on stopping it causing strokes. In other words we know if we stop that we are back to square one re danger of a stroke when in a-fib but seems to state that just stopping Eliquis can cause a stroke just by having been on it =0:

I had been taking that at night and then during the day Cardiovascular Research mag taurate which I just discovered was found to be high in arsenic in 2016 and I have no idea if that was remedied so have stopped taking it I will try the powder you mentioned but what about mag taurate, is there a safe one or is not really nec
