The blanking period esp. the 1st few weeks can be kind of crazy...between day 3 post ablation + day 12 i had 6 afib attacks.....all converted in about an hour through 1x150 Propafenone chewed but pure crazyness then pretty much total bliss so don't sweat it too much...the heart is just adjusting itself.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
So sorry to hear this. I will keep you in my thoughts and hopefully they can do something with your current PM or get you another that fits your fickle heart's needs. Would another visit with Natale help or has he done everything he can for you i wonder....he is a wizard so maybe he can you help down the road. Keep us updated Susan.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
I noticed the same thing about extended high heart rates after doing something strenuous when i had my 3 to 48 hour bouts before chewing Propafenone to get my afib duration down to about an hour and then finally got froze + burned into NSR bliss. If i were you i would get an ablation. Your holter already confirmed it so get that EP Carey mentioned and get the ball rolling. I delayed my Ablaby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Nice update Klein...you and Keef gave updates on the same day and i posted in his thread....my comments there would fit your thread also.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am 2.5 years out from a successful ablation also Keef + i still have some days i get a few hundred ectopics...never even think about them unlike most non affibers who would panic over something like that but considering what we all have gone through + still are some of us if we still have not had the malady corrected.....those funny beats are small potatoes right.....personally after about 450by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteJaydee212 That is kinda true. I am sick of now knowing what is wrong, and I guess I am hoping something will show up that did not previously. Yes, if it could lead to ablation, that might be ok also, but I had rather hoped I would find a way to allay this problem with diet and exercise and supplements. Honestly, the feeling at night is as if the heart were fibrillating; maybe that is tacby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jay are you wearing a holter in the hope that during that 24 hours you can get an ARR. to show them that.......in the hope of you getting an Ablation...is that your purpose of wearing the holter belt cause thats exactly why i got a 24 hour holter + i knew i was only going to get some progress toward an Ablation if my heart went in to ARR. during that 24 hour time so i made sure i had all my triggby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
In my humble opinion if you are able get an ablation then pursue that..... if not wean off those drugs or keep them i don't know its not my dept. to tell you that but since its only around 1 a month take a serious PIP like Flec or my fav. Chewed Propafenone to convert. When i was Afib bound i could only dream of 1 ep. a month so in the world of afib your doing pretty good. Drugs are only aby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
You could not be in better hands. The time to start feeling miserable is after Natale is finished with you + you still have not found peace. Until then keep your chin up + count the days before July 7th/8th and do not take anything that happens from now until then too seriously.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
If you can exercise/climb many floors of stairs ect. and not feel weak or dizzy or your heart rate does not shoot up though the roof because of that i would wait to get an ablation but this malady does not get better with age so more then likely its just a matter of time when you will need 1. My brother in law has perm. Afib + does not feel it he says + i took his pulse + its around 90-100 but wby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Joe is right....anyone trying to lose weight and does not have fasting in their routine is like having a gun collector museum without hand guns in it. There are many ways to fast...joe has 1 that is effective but very difficult to adhere to but all fasts are because 95% min. of the pop have this attitude don't F. with my food or eating habits. Hi Bob....getting cardioverted could help you tempor. but remember its just like getting a picture taken of you......its just that moment in time...in other words you MIGHT get back to nsr after the paddle shock but that will likely only last a short period of time who knows you fill in the blanks of how long everyone is diff....your main concern is to get on the road to an Ablation like youby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Great news....Nice to see you came through this prob. easier then having a couple of teeth pulled. When i 1st saw this procedure it looked very promising for the lets just say not too complex Afibber and your report looks like that's the case.... seems great but its all about long term so lets wait but for PV ablations this at very least appears to lessen sym. short term....as for me 36 houby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Being dizzy is not uncommon ESP. if you are active during your Afib.......now if your dizzy + not moving around to any great extent then its time to take notice + double ESP. if not active + still dizzy AFTER doing nothing. See your Doctor + get your 24 Holter monitor set up at a Hosp. then that will get on the road to an Ablation...Without knowing anymore about you...that's my advice likeby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
By this time (2 weeks post ablation) i was having my 6th ARR....then 1 more 1 month later then never again for 2.5 years so far...... Your scars have not fully healed yet so they can still be jumped..... its like the bad electricity is able to walk through a dry bed river or partially filled one...once the scars fully heal the bad electricity will be stuck on 1 side of the now FULL raging river.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
I would say STRESS is the universal #1 agitator of all funny heart action from people who have Afib...ablated or not and the rest of the Gen. public hearts actions also. Expect funny things Blu not only early but after the Blanking period ends also. Hell 2.5 years after my suc. ablation i still get about 5 pac's a day on ave. + sometimes many more MOSTLY DUE TO STRESS then many other dayby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM

Flec. is not the only PIP out there SB.....I had total success about 70 times worth using PROPAFENONE as my PIP converting in an ave. of 1 hour by CHEWING 1x 150MG pill at the onset of an ARR. If your interested in this new path for you let me know.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteElectroBlu Great Blu.....my advice going forward is don't take things that happen to your heart too seriously in the 1st few weeks at least as i had 6 ARR in the 1st 2 weeks then another 1 month later before bliss to this day....Plus doing that if your heart does act up in the blanking period.....well just shrug and say to yourself....i was expecting some action early so no big deal..by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
It will prob. progress into full blown Afib/ARR heart action sooner or later...... like i had around 25K pacs a day at times while having ARR on other days...a real mess....but look at it this way for me those Pacs or maybe pvcs who knows either or were horrible......were WORSE than having an ARR....now i know medically its better to have what your having then ARR as Carey pointed out but i was hby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM

Funny the sides in this fickle malady. Before my suc. ablation in 2018 the right side was my safe side with my left being 50% of the time i woke up there....i was in ARR. Now my left side is totally calm and my right side i get short bursts of pacs and flutter for a few seconds to a min. or so when first get into bed.by vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Joy....glad the main part of your procedure went off without a hitch. I had soreness for about 3 weeks in my groin area with some bruising. Your doing great compared to my nov. 2018 ablation i had 6 ARR. in the 1st 12 days after...i would have loved to have had just a few pac's like your having. Even when i was asleep i would be thinking/dreaming about it and if i woke up in the middle of the night the 1st thing i would check was if i was in ARR. or not as prob. 90% of my 10 ep. or so a month happened in my sleep dev. in the 1st 3 hours or so......there was NO ESCAPE from this for me 24/7. Well when i had the condition if i either urinated or #2 as we used to say as kids within the 1st 2 min or so of an ARR. i would convert about 1/3 of the time....only to have it reappear hours later mind you but the business end so to speak x2 when activated at the right time did have an effect on converting me to a small degree so when i read this it did not strike me as levity....... it hit homby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
I would absol. go get the ablation....i did things (prob. 5K or more in supliments....in 4 years and i always ate near perfect) that sometimes helped a little or a lot also but i still had from 2 to 12 a month....so it is possible to slow it down with natural intervention but nearly impossible to stop it. esp. long term as this condition only get's worse with age. 2.5 years out a suc. Ablation.......I still get some bursts when i 1st go to bed and move to my right side that last from a few seconds to near a min. and 2-3 times a month i have 3-5 seconds worth of ARR. while not in bed along with a few dozen spaced out pac's a month. No worries from me though as the EP cannot fix the source/cause of our malady....so that will always be with us.....but tby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Don't sweat it much JOY...you will be having that ablation in around a week and the world will look much dif/better in all likelyhood afterward. My Afib evolved over the years also but as i think back now of all of my own variations and after my suc. ablation in nov. 2018 my thoughts are......same SH$T dif. pile.....it's over no matter what state it was in before i was wheeled into tby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes that does/has happen to me often and i am 2.5 years out of my suc. ablation. The 1 simple thing that helps me is drinking a lot of water in the 1-4 hours before i go to bed...as in about 6 cups worth and my heart purrs at about 60 bpm all night.......at the price of course of a high urination rate but a top cut plastic milk jug on the side of my bed provides me with a quick solution to thatby vanlith - AFIBBERS FORUM
Joy only around 2% of ablations have anything "go wrong" as you say and a small % of the 2% itself are serious complications.
