Apple Cider Vinegar seems to be the cure all on every Forum for everything.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Genes, mineral deficienices etc. are all theories but it is clear for me the ablation sets off a pattern. Prior to my 1st ablation I had plenty of afib and no aura/migraine. They started after the ablation. I'm not inclined to think it is some deficiency, it is just to coincidental and a repeatable pattern for me. I'd love to believe vitamins and supplements are the answer but I doby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
This one is right up my alley. As I sit here 3 months post 4th ablation battling visual auras and migraines. My first visual aura came after my first ablation three years ago, I never had them in my life or migraines. First one three years ago about 5 days after my ablation. I was watching TV and notice my vision getting difficult. Then came the light show, flashing zig zags and loss of peby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Recenty stayed at Hyatt House Downtown Austin. It is very new so nice and clean. Does have a basic bar/restaurant. Daily valet parking is expensive but for the convenience well worth it. I would stay there again. 10 minute drive over to St. Davids and no expressway necessary.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am a hair over 2 months out from my Natale ablation which was my 4th, 1st by him. I am off the Multaq now for like 2.5 weeks and in rhythm and have been since the procedure. I do get occassional PVC and/or PAC's as well. Have caught them on my Kardia. They are getting less, but I would just accept they may always be there or not and as long as you are not in afib, carry on happily. Myby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
It will be one month in 2 days for me and I am afib free right now and have been since procedure with maybe excepetion of 10 second run or so around week two but I don't no for sure it was Afib of course. This is the longest I have been afib free in over a year. I am still on Multaq for another month but a key difference is Flecainide, Tikosyn and Multaq prior to this ablation were essentiby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'd do nothing differently, well maybe party harder as it was coming one way or another. Once you have it, it can take over your life so certainly don't let it beforehand. I wasted years worrying and the outcome was the same.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I finished mine 3 weeks ago. The process is Austin was the smoothest by far I have dealt with and I had three ablations prior to Natale so I do have something to compare to. Don't worry, you'll arrive, before you know it you'll be put under, you'll wake up and go wow that was easy what's for dinner.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
2 weeks post Natale ablation. Yesterday was first hit of a couple10 second or less what was probably afib but did not record. The Ablation experience at St. Davids was night and day compared to what I have experienced before. Dr. Natale knew what to do and where to go. He hunted my fib down and killed it on the table. Time will tell of course but I feel I am in the right place finally ifby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Everyone is diffferent. I am wiped out in afib, large dose of beta blocker struggles to keep my heart rate down, I am out of breath, hot, generally miserable and overtime my ejection fraction is highly compromised. Living with Afib is not an option for me as far as I am concerned. I am two weeks post Natale ablation #1, but on ablation #4. Might as well be the 1st one though as the 1st threeby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
"The need for a third ablation is a sign you're a complex case and beyond your EP's abilities. Do not let him do ablation #3. You need someone more experienced." Exactly! Unfortunately my local EP also affiliated with medical school and "top" program did not advise me I had a unique heart, persistent left super vena cava until after my 2nd. It appears they discoby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I can tell you who not to go to. I ended up going to Dr. Natale last week in Austin after 3 failed attempts in Chicago. Choose very carefully, which it seems you are.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Congrats, I look forward to reporting the same one day. 4th ablation (1st with Natale) upcoming this Friday.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Honestly I could care less if they put me in a shed for the night at this point if they solve the AFIB.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Consult and CT on Sep 21st and Ablation with Natale on the 22nd. Can't wait! Shannon is my current hero.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteShannon I And often afibbers will at least seek out the most respected name in overall medical care within a major metropolitan areas of the US and yet still wind up being sucked, unwittingly, into a 4 to 6 ablation merry-go-round by very well-meaning and often very well-educated and super nice and caring doctors but who nevertheless turned out to be under-experienced and under-trained inby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
In a second though someone will be along to say don't drink too much water to deplete electrolytes Can't win for losing with this condition!by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I still can't figure for life (pun intended) of me how time in Afib does not factor into these scores. How can someone with a CHADS score of 1 in AFIB for 15 minutes a day versus someone with a CHADS score of 1 in AFIB almost all the time share the same risk profile? Does not seem logical.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I understand, my only comment was to say we should not assume someone is dehydrated just because heat is a trigger for them. I have to be careful as my PLSVC makes me a bit unique so what works or does not work for some may not apply. I guess that is AFIB in a nutshell I just have an additional variable. I went back and looked, I was wrong, I too stopped three days before and started Flecainide back up day after each.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I spoke with Shannon and going to work on getting a Natale consult. I cannot express how helpful and selfless Shannon was even in calling me. To take your personal time to help a stranger in need for what 5 hours of talking? Unreal! Thank you.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteMichael777 I wonder why such varying results? Because this condition sucks! ;-) And based on my limited knowledge none of the drugs are really targeting the cause of AFIB (If you can find two EP's who agree on that). It's just a lucky coincidence they sort of work for some.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I know, I get tested (also aware of cellular vs. serum) and I supplement. I wish it was that simple for me or many others.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I may be in the minority here but I have not found anything in the last three years that made a difference nutritionally. Drinking was a trigger for sure. So I try and do everything right, I take the supplements, I don't drink, I am not overweight, I am young like your husband about 43 with no other health issues and none of it has mattered. Afib keeps progressing for me. I do have a uniquby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I've always wondered about that. Mine does not stop the Flecainide up to ablation, I would think it would make sense intuitively. I asked years ago and to be honest I don't recall the answer but it was clear they had been asked before at least. After ablation they keep me on for 3 months and then try to stop.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
He hasn't used Rotor yet, I think he mentioned it last time as I think he may be grabbing for straws. I follow with him next Friday and intend to have him layout exactly what #4 would be and why he would expect a different outcome. He did say early on in my treatment rotor was not supported by data and he as not a fan so I may be wrong unless he has changed his mind. I am looking forby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I too notice over the years a mechanical activity connection be it laying down, bending, being full connection. My EP is willing to concede it may be in fact true but his treatment would be the same. Right now I am in a very bad spell and moving is definitely a trigger.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I drink a load of water, almost constantly. Probably double the recommended daily or more.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
An excellent question, I started getting break through panicked and was told an ablation was the answer. I honestly sit here thinking what if I had just stayed on the Flecainide and not had three ablations, maybe I'd be worse off, maybe I would have had random break through and be just like I am now, or somewhere in between or who knows of course. It is a question that somewhat haunts me rby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
