Shannon, You changed my life in a manner for the better can never be repaid in any form, that said, someone close to you is close to me, sorry to hear about your loss and all the best.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Listen to Shannon, I owe him and Dr. Natale my life, not a small statement there.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am 7 months or so post ablation #4, 1st with Natale. I am afib free and cleared to be off all drugs including blood thinner. To your question, I too have PVC's quite a bit. They have gotten better but hardly gone and sometimes quite often, other times quiet. Eating is definitly a trigger but really no pattern. My 7 day holter showed them less than 1% of total but when you string a buby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Oh I get it believe me. I just spent three years looking for the answer and multiple failed ablations. The 4th and 1st with Natale has me sitting here 7 months later afib free and off drugs. Is it a cure, that is debatable and depending on how you define cure. It's the best thing that exists today to stop the afib from happening. That's as good as we can get. How long will it laby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Why are you not considering an ablation with Dr. Natale. You'll drive yourself crazy looking for a cause. Very rare to find one other than bad luck. Sure you can do all the things to try and help but you need a durable ablation at the hands of a master. Man I sound like Shannon.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
What are you waiting for?by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am 7 months out from my Natale ablation and recently given the all clear after ziopatch. I feel my PVC's still, zio results showed ectopic less than 1%. Let's hope they go to zero, but I suspect they may not and I don't care, it's not afib and I am off all drugs and feeling great for the 1st time in four years.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
You sound like most of us and me. Flecainide worked great for me for 9 months then less effective, over the year that followed then came a few ablations and hope at the hands of an incompetent EP. I was put on Tikosyn no luck, Multaq, no luck etc. 7 months ago I went to Dr. Natale and sit here today afib free and off all meds. He gave me life back, I was highly symptomatic afibber with compromiseby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM

Shannon may be able to help you get in faster. He should chime in soon.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm a little over five months out from Natale. It was my 4th ablation in 3 years, 1st with him. Other three were complete failures at the Univeristy system here in Chicago. I am afib free and believe I have been since this procedure. I've been off all meds for 3 months now except the Eliquis. I still have some PVC's here and there and my heart rate spends a lot of time inby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Individual doctor experience is what matters, not the name on the sign. I learned the hard way at another "top high volume" university Hospital.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Please wait for Dr. Natale consult. Don't knowingly sign up for two procedures when you only need one. Learn from our mistakes and experience!by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Good healthy lifestyle but don't make the process of trying to be perfect worse than AFIB itself. The point of a good ablation is to put this behind you.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am similair to you at age 43. I'm about 3.5 months out from my 4th ablation, 1st with Natale and Afib free since. I too was barely functioning and flecainide was no longer working. We tried Tikosyn and Multaq in the month leading up and nothing worked with my prior EP. In hindsight I would have just stayed with the Flec as both worked worse and the Tikosyn took 3 days in hospital toby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
How do you know you're cured and just not in a lull? Not trying to rain on parade, if you are I am thrilled just wanting some more detail.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes it is very common for Flecainide to become less effective overtime. How fast and to what degree I imagine will vary greatly by person based on their underlying severity of AFIB, triggers and rate of natural progression of this beast. By the time I was heading up to my Natale abaltion, Flecainide, Tikosyn (Wish I didn't waste three days in a hospital trying that one) and Multaq wereby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks everyone. Something to consider, as I was out for my anniversary dinner last night sharing a glass of red wine would have been nice. Like others above, zero desire to push my luck with more than one or two. I'll probably wait a bit longer, I can already hear Shannon in my ear!by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
ABpage, do you notice any difference when you have that small occassional glass of wine? Though king of a pointless question I know as we are all different but I am asking anyways.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was never admitted to hospital for Flecainide. It worked for me for 9 months after diagnosis perfectly at 100mg x 2. No afib. Then started to not, I was upped to 150mg x 2 for 2 years thereafter and would take an extra 150mg when needed. I pretty much became locked in AFIB. I had no issues with Flecainide but it ultimately was not going to work. If only had afib a couple a times a yearby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I haven't had a drink in 6 months, and barely any for the 2 years before that. There was a correlation if not 100% causation to afib episodes for me. I am 3.5 months post what so far has been a successful ablation with Natale. I'd be lying if I said I don't think about an occassional glass of wine or beer but will I ever, I don't really know how to answer that? Many hereby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Could not agree more. I am 3.5 months post my 4th abaltion, 1st with Natale and in NSR since with just a couple little random off beats. Been of betablockers and Flecainide for 1.5 months now neither of which were working anyways pre this abaltion. PAC's and PVC's happening here and there but given I was pretty much stuck in AFIB for last year and have a PLSVC who knows what my "by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Agreed, everyone is different but AFIB was essentially killing me, at my worst my ejection fraction was at 25%.by Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was hit out of the blue at 40 with mine. Knowing what I know today, I would have not wasted one year on drugs and gone straight for an ablation. I'd like to think I would have got on a plane and gone straight to Dr. Natale but who thinks they need to go see the best in the world, especially if you are near a major medical center. So I would likely have stayed local. But now, as I sitby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
Doctor's best. I am really going to focus on dietary intake of Mg and Potassium. Which I have been doing, nuts, coconut water, avocados, low sodium V8 etc. Way back when I got my first Aura after frist round of ablations I was on Xarelto. I think Eliquis came about after ablation #2. So I had them before. There are so many variables here and not a one size answer for sure. The commby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
I took some Mg the other day and swear my HR went up high for day and I had a headache so who knows. Just as an information point, I have been off antiryhtmics for a month now and tapering off metoprolol. Only on 12.5mg for last week and will stop in a few days. First time in years I will be heart med free other than Elequis for now. I have also been afib free since my procedure. So it isby Fibrillator - AFIBBERS FORUM
