Karen, Eastern Canada is a vast area. Could you clarify where you are. I'd like to know where you are being treated? Wishing you the best in your unique situation. Adrian Edmonton, Albertaby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
It's good to hear that you are doing well Lou. For my recent Bordeaux ablation they had me stop warfarin 48 hrs. before ablation and they put me on Flec. I also got out of the hospital 1 day early. Saved me about 2000 euro. They really like to monitor that catheter injection site the first three days. I'm still waiting for the official report to be mailed to me. Three weeks tomorrow aby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM

First of all I trust Lou Toews is resting comfortably in NSR after his recent ablation. Thnks Lou for the information you provided on your Bordeaux experience. It has now been 2 weeks plus a day since my successful ablation here in Bordeaux by Mlle Dr. Hocini. I know that one could expect to have some ectopic activity after PVAI but so far I've been steady as a rock. It feels GOOD!! We hby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bill, I think it was the flutter line that she had done earlier. She ablated then paced then more ablation ,pacing etc. until the flutter was gone. Good luck with your upcoming flutter ablation. Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mchale, thanks for the kind wishes. Prior ablations and it could have been all four . I'm fuzzy on that one. She did have to re-ablate her fflutter line in the right atria. Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
I did try to get an ablation done by Dr.s' Verma and Khaykin. I sent them both a email with a cover letter from my famil Dr. To date they still haven't replied. I don't expect they will. Hans had even suggested to try Dr. George Verhuisen (sp) in Calgary but by that time I was scheduled with Pantano for my first. Six days since my Hoconi ablation in Bordeaux and all is wel. Thank you for your kind words and support. We checked out of the hospital today but have to return on tuesday for ecg and blood test for INR. I can't say enough nice things about the nursing staff there. Dr Hocini came an talked with us before we left. There were four elements /problem areas that she had to deal with. re-conduction of the pulmunary veins, a roof line,,mitral isthmusand rby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
I've been in aflutter for for at least 5 months since my ablation about 6 months ago. Get tired of it all and decide to go to bordeaux for ablation. 2 nights ago the flutter stopped. Unfortunately it was replaced by afib. This morning, the day before we leave for France and a Bordeaux ablation it went Normal. Go figger. Any way dont have much time to chat cause we have to leave for tby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
J. It is a matter of public record how much they charge so no problem with the questions. They would charge an additional 2,068 Euro per day as hospital charge. Plan for a three day stay. The doctors don't charge for their services on the second ablation. Keep your stick on the ice Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Downhearted, I can't say for sure but I have heard that it can be as much as $60,000 to have it done in the US. The Bordeaux ablation I am having next monday is costing me $20,875. Add to that $3,200 for air fare and you get just over $24,000. We are staying for 12 more days as vacation so probably spending an additional $3,000. That makes it about $27,000 dollars.. I'd say moneyby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks all for your kind thoughts. Ben I initiated discussions with Bordeaux on Mar 1, 2012. They first offered me ablation on Mar 7, 2012 so I guess their waiting list at this time is about 1 month. It surprised the heck out of me and I've been scrambling to meet their requirements. particularly the TEE. My cardiologist was on vacation at the beginning of march so I had to go through myby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi folks, I am confirmed to have an ablation done in bordeaux on april 2nd. I just have to get a few ducks lined up (airfare, hotel, honorarium payment for ablation) and then it's bonjour mon ami . On next Friday I have a TEE scheduled and then the next day its off to France. They are also requiring blood tests be done prior to arrival. This will be my third ablation. I have post ablation aflutter now and it is quite regular. Sometimes I even think it could be normal... but its not. My blood pressure monitor also has a little shaky symbol for arrhythmia but it always shows normal now too. Doesn't catch the flutter. The only sure way is to have an ECG done. Best wishes Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Natural potassium would come from the vegetables. Salt would be better if you added KCL potassium chloride as opposed to NaCl Sodium chloride. I use a product called No Salt, made with KCl, which is added to all my foods. Good luck Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Chuck, Its hard to post the link because I am sitting at the mac which does not support the video that the Venice Arrhythmia org uses. I have to borrow my daughters PC to view it. But here goes... <http//:www.venicearrhythmias.org/slide/1/swf/0162.html> It doesn't show up as a live link so just go to the venice arrhythmias.org website and click on the arrazzi hall sessions thenby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Is the reason for the success of some doctors due to them being more aggressive then other dr.s. Prof. M hasaguere from bordeaux stated in his Venice arrhythmia discussion that to achieve a high success rate "we do a lot of damage". He was talking about persistent arrhythmia. Murray, I think carnitine has been removed from Health Canada's not wanted list. So it should continue to arrive. A few years ago I had a shipment from iherb turned back at Canada customs and shipped back to iherb where the offending product (carnitine) was removed and then re shipped. It cost me a few xtra dollars. Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
