Yes Ron, the first 2 ablations that I spoke of in an earlier thread were both done at the "Maz". The first was a horror show. Not because of the ablation but because they would not remove the catheters from the insertion sites at the groin until my INR came down to an acceptable level so as not to bleed profusely after catheter removal. Now I realize that they were playing it safe andby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Ron, Are those Veenhuyzens stats you are quoting and why wouldn't he be the one to do your ablation? 50% success on 1st ablation, well I rolled that die once myself and still ended up with afib after my first ablation here in Edmonton with Pantano. My second ablation was with Lockwood who quoted me 60 % 1st ablation success. I ended up in aflutter after that one. Since my bordeaux ablatby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Monty, I've sent you a PM with my ph. number if you want to talk about my Bordeaux experience. My issue was never with pacs/pvcs So our situations are a bit different but I imagine the ablation will be the same. From about a year agoBordeaux ablation Cheers Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Monty, I did a little digging and found this AHC pdf document on Health coverage outside Alberta. http://www.health.alberta.ca/documents/AHCIP-brochure-AHC0012.PDF] It doesn't look good for me as the first requirement they have is that the application must be made by a physician on behalf of the patient for outside coverage. That ship has sailed. There is an appeal process but I thinkby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Monty, My ablation is holding up so far. 11 months and still NSR. the odd pac or skipped beat but they never become afib the way they did in the past. I totally understand your reticence to having an ablation locally. The advice on the forum is always go the best Dr. available. I made the decision to gamble with the local talent twice and it didn't pay off. I do not regret going to bordby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
hi monty, sorry to hear about your increasing afib troubles. I was thinking the same thing as you are now. Could the high ferritin levels be contributing to the afib in some way? I was able to arrange to get phlebotomies done at the U of A hospital back in 2008. See if your GP can get a referral to see Dr. Loree Larat at the U of A. She arranged for me to have the phlebs even though I have neby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
For me, it made sense to go to Bordeaux even though I could have had my totally free ablation at home. At bordeaux you get some of the best Drs. in the world at performing ablation. My first free ablation Dr.'s success rate was 50%for a first ablation and 50% for a second ablation. I rolled the dice and came up continued afib. My second ablation Dr.'s success rate was 60% for first andby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie, I think I understand the problem with not having enough stomach acid and having to take digestive enzymes to help with food digestion but as you posted previously, it is important to alkalize. So is WW contraindicated in that circumstance? Does taking Digestive enzymes ultimately harm ones ability to produce HCL and if so How would one restore the ability to produce adequate Stomach aciby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gill that is great news. On April 2 I will be 1 year after my Bordeaux ablation with Dr. Melize Hocini. It is heartening to know that you have had 10 solid years of NSR. I raise my Glass of LSV8 and toast to your continued success. Cheers Adrianby Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM

When I first started on Flec back before my ablation I was put on 50mg Metoprolol as well and I also felt like crap. In addition to the headaches I felt drained all the time and bloated with a great pressure on my lungs. It felt like my diaphragm was being pushed up into my lungs and was making it hard to breathe. Once I quit taking the Met the situation resolved itself. When I went into afib(by Adrian - AFIBBERS FORUM

So the way I see this fluoride debate is that on one side (pro fluoride) you have the industry lobbyists, bureaucrats and various government officials. On the other side you have scientists. Yet Govt. wins. Adrianby Adrian - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Dr. Melize Hocini, who performed my successful Bordeaux ablation offered the following after hearing that wine tours were on the agenda upon leaving the Hopital. She was on her way out the door and in a gay and mirthful manor said " Don't drink too much wine ... Unless it's a good one". I've stuck to that advice by only having the occasional glass. Catherine, I notice you have a Canadian email. Were your ablations done in Canada? It's my opinion there are very few top notch ablationists in canada. Hi all, As the title proclaims it's Six months after my Bordeaux ablation with Dr. Melize Hocini and I have been in NSR the whole time, but for that time I guzzled some ice cold water and went tachycardic for about ten seconds.
