QuoteWhyMe They are annoying as hell, not something one can just "ignore cause they are not Afib". Nah, I can't just ignore them, cause it feels like something is heavy in my chest, I feel lightheaded, short of breath, I feel like I don't want to do anything. This ain't life, I don't care if you call them Afib, PACs or Micky Mouse to be honest. Right there with ya!by Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM
I don't want to start a pro/con vaccine war on here as I know everyone has a right to their opinion, it's your body!! I just want to know if anyone else has read or heard anything about the RSV vacc like I found. I read this on VeryWellhealth: Who Needs an RSV Vaccine? Here's a toast on this New Year's Eve that 2023 will be healthy and healing for all! I thank each and every one of you for your posts in 2022 (and prior years!) I consider this forum a part of my healthcare as much as my meds and my doctors!! I've learned so much which has comforted me on this journey. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL and MAY GOD BLESS!! I had a second hit of covid 4wks ago (first in 2020). Not sure where I contracted it because I considered myself the poster child for covid protection with constant masking, hand sanitizing and avoiding indoor crowds! Very sick both times. The urgent care doctor said I was not a candidate for the Paxlovid because I was on Eliquis and Flecainide. So, I toughed it out without it. I went to see mby Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yep, I was tested for sleep apnea a few months ago and it reported as being mild (6). EP suggested I go with CPAP machine (which was on back order for 4 months) and I've been given the head gear that has a nasal pillow fitting just below the nose. It's very comfortable and will not allow me to open my mouth because the rush of air would be overwhelming trying to catch my breath! I waby Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM
JoyWin, Thanks for response! I heard a tv commercial for Prolia, but my GP has never mentioned it. I will ask her at my next appt. I think it would be worth a try to see if the benefits outweigh the risk of afib. And I can always stop taking it if any arrythmia starts up! I guess I'm on so many medications that I hate the thought of one more! But it is what it is. Cookie24, I found theby Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, I'm with you on your opinion of the Shingrix vaccine. My next-door neighbor got the Shingrix vaccine and was intensely sick for almost a week with both shots (you have to have two doses 2-6 months apart). The vaccine is reported to last about 4 years on average (some a little longer) and there is no booster. So, I've decided to take my chances and not get it. Probably a bad dby Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM

I'm lucky to get 90-day supply of Flecainide for $25 through my insurance drug plan. But for some reason I'm having to pay a ridiculous amount for 90-day Eliquis!!! Almost as much as my car payment! As promised, I checked with my cardiologist and my EP at my visits this week. BOTH reported no knowledge of vaxxed related afib or irregular beats or cardiac issues among their patients. My EP believes it would have raised its head immediately after the injection. I tend to disagree since I've known some people having reactions a day or two later. I was hoping they would agree the vaccinesby Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM
Very interesting on the vaxxed related issues! I have not had an afib episode since 2018 (thank God) but within the last year and half, I've been experiencing PVC-HELL! And I'm wondering the coincidence between the vaccines and increased PVCs. I was hospitalized with covid in 2020. In 2021 I got the first & second vaccine. Then received the two boosters this year. I've been on Eliquis following my last afib episode which lasted about 8hours 3yr ago. No side effects. When I was hospitalized for Covid 2yr ago, one of the doctors said I was lucky to be on Eliquis because it kept me safe from any blood clots that might develop with some Covid patients. I had never heard of that before, but I was glad to be taking it. I have read somewhere that if I evby Muntz - AFIBBERS FORUM

I'm thinking of trying the same to hopefully reduce my PVCs which happen enough to reduce my quality of life but not enough to have an ablation. North Carolina Arrhythmia Association is part of Texas Arrhythmia Association. I've been on Flec 50mg 2xday AND Metoprolol 25mg once a day for about 6mos for palps mostly PVCs. The first few weeks, PVCs were few & far between. Some days none! Good morning team! Just a quick follow-up... yesterday I started flec 50mg b.i.d. with 25mg Metoprolol q.d. I still take Eliquis 5mg b.i.d. since 2018. Team, I saw a new EP today and he described my heart as "beating all over the place" due to me having PACs & PVCs & history of 2 afib episodes (2006, 2018). He said he can do ablation for PVCs, and at another time do an ablation for afib, but the PACs present a different approach which is more difficult. Carey- thanks again! I'll try to keep open mind on b12. I was thinking because they happened about the same time. But you're correct, that doesn't always mean they're related. About magnesium, I have no deficiency. My EP recommended it 2yrs ago for the palps and still taking. So again, just because it works on some doesn't mean it would work for me.
