Eliquis and eye surgery

Well of course when everything is going well something has to happen lol - was just dx with ptosis (drooping eye lid) which if it gets any worse will have to have surgery. According to ophthalmologist I would have to be off Elqius for 3 days. Just curious if anyone has had this surgery or similar eye surgery with no problem being of the Eliquis. I friend of mine was taken off Eliquis for a few days while she had knee surgery and ended up in hospital for 3 weeks with a pulmonary embolism =:0 anne h .
