Afib and Electric blankets/pads

Dumb question but is there any danger from an electric blanket/throw/pad in causing/triggering any type of arrhythmia/irregular heartbeat/afib? The internet is not of any help to me here for some reason.

(Wasn't sure whether to post this to health forum or not.)

Nope.

There was discussion about electrosensitivity being a trigger 14 or 15 years ago, when I first joined this site. For most people, Carey's answer is probably correct. However, from what was posted then, there do appear to be people who do have a sensitivity association with various electronics.

Alternating current does induce some sort of charge into our body by an electric blanket. Has it got any effect on our own electrical system????
Love to see some good studies!

I have used a Tens unit for years for Chronic back pain. Never a issue.

Smackman, your back pain goes away when you sleep on an A/C electric blanket?

I'd worry more about the fire risk than AF!

I do not sleep on a Electric Blanket. I use a Tens Unit during the day for temporary help with chronic back issues in my lower Thoracic and Lumbar. Major Wreck in 2003. Had a T11- L1 Thoracic Anterior Corpectomy in Early 2006.

Look up Tens Unit.

Almost all electric blankets are DC, (low voltage direct current), not 115 volt AC, (alternating current).
