Ralph, Getting that feeling in the solar plexus is a sign for me also. When I get it now I take an extra ginger capsule and it goes away. Mind you, I haven't had that feeling now for three months or so. (no afib also) I am still taking three ginger capsules a day with meals. Ginger is not only good for digestion but is an anti-inflammatory but you can't expect instant results. Cby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Take a ginger capsule with each meal and one before bed, it may help you as it has for me. I was having two to three Afib events a month and now, I have been Afib free for three months, not even a skipped beat. Read my post Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom, Thanks for your reply. All I know for sure is that by taking a ginger capsule with 5% gingerols, any ectopics or Afib will stop within 20 to 30 minutes, for me at least. So what is that doing if it's not calming the vagus nerve? Have you ever tried it? Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
quote from Tom B, Too bad nobody really understands the underlying reason for afib in most persons My understanding is that the vagus nerve get irritated and upsets the hearts pacemaker electrical signals. If you ablate the vagus nerve it can not interfere with hearts pacemaker and Afib stops. If the underlying problems are still there and if the vagus nerve grows back Afib will come back anby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Latrogenia, I think I would feel a little queasy if I put ginger on my oatmeal, that is why I ordered capsules. I take the whole capsule before or during my meal.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ralph, Hans is correct. I was taking the NOW brand 500mg and Lifestream but not anymore. Hans, You have got my regimen correct. When I took the GingerForce capsule while having the Afib event my pulse was in the 90's. I to was surprised by the result, having read previously what you had to say about it increasing the heart rate. I didn't notice any sinus tachycardia, although I wasn't expecting to, I think that the ginger just calm down my digestion or the vagby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Debbie, Murray and Jackie, Debbie, I think you are on the right track giving your husband ginger in his breakfast, it is not a lot compared to what you can get in a capsule but would help. I would like to suggest he try a ginger capsule (the brand I recommend) with his lunch and dinner, because it's not only good for his digestion but has a lot of other benefits. I take one with eby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
David, Have you heard of the 5:2 diet. Its two days fasting, 600 calories, any two and 5 days normal eating. Like fasting Monday and Thursday and eating normally the rest. It works. You can lose up to 4 pounds (2Kg) a month. Also I would suggest a ginger capsule with each meal. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
My Ginger Story. I have had lone afib for about five years. I have tried most arrhythmia drugs with no success and have experienced bad side effects. George, I have very little dairy, but still need to take ginger. Have you found that just before an event you get a strange feeling in your stomach? I normally take 1g just before breakfast and 1g before dinner, but if I feel the strange feeling I have another one. I have found there is a difference betweby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi All, I was going to write to celebrate that while I have been on ginger, (2 1/2 months now) I have been afib free, but I had an afib event yesterday. The event was mild and lasted about 3 hours, but I think I could have avoided it. Up until a couple of days ago I was taking locally supplied ginger, then I changed to the brand Hans recommends, (New Chapter Ginger Force) this I found to beby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

I take ginger capsules and have no trouble with my blood pressure, if any thing it has lowered it. I take two of these a day, one with breakfast and one just before bed. I have had one event of Afib in nine weeks, (that's when I started taking ginger), before I would have 2 to 3 events a month. Colin.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
