I tried Accupuncture in Australia many years ago while my AF was still paroxysmal. I saw a top accupuncturist (he treated the Aussie Prime Minister). He wasn’t hopeful because, he said, I'd had AF for so many years. He was right, it didn’t help at all with the AF but I did feel good after each treatment. Hi Steve - Glad you are getting relief. Both chiro and accupuncture can be extremely useful in relaxing those muscles that have been under that specific 'golf swing stress' for so many years. Not that you've been on tour - but look at Tiger's dilemma and all he went through. Great that you have the TENS unit... it all works in synergy. Greetings all, New to this group but not to afib, thanks to Mchale for sending me over. Hi Enrique et al, I am happy to share my accupuncture/ tcm treatment results. I tuned in today since my ablation is scheduled with Dr. Natale next week. He was dumbfounced and took my case to his study group but they didn't come up with anything helpful either. Kittymama, Congratulations for keeping your journal. I don't have bouts of afib -- I just have an irregular hb all the time, but every once in awhile I get "hard" beats, never too rapid. I have kept a journal; but, alas, I have found after many months that nothing seems consistent. Hi everyone- Doing some dectective work. I've had some brief AF runs early in the morning now that are mitiaged by breathing patterns and very gently walking around. Marty - I also went to an OMD and had 2 treatments a week for 10 weeks. It did not help the AF... This was when I was aggressively working to reverse the events I was having which were daily or every other day lasting for 24 and sometimes 27 hours and longer...with maybe only 4 hours of NSR and then back into AF. I am a totally vagal afibber. My largest trigger is GI turbulance. Belching is often a precursor and often happens in a major way while I'm in afib. Other digestive struggles trigger afib as well.
