Updates SERUM TESTOSTERONE LOWERIN MEN WITH BPH, HAIR LOSS October 2001 As we previously reported, an age related decline in the testosterone to estrogen ratio in favor of estrogen has been shown to disrupt immune synchronization and increase the overall incidence of hair loss, prostate enlargement, and abdominal fat accumulation creating what is clinically termed the estrogen syndromby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Forget saw palmetto it's minimal in lowering DHT if it works at all. What you need is Propecia or the more powerful Avodart to really supress DHT up to 97%. I/ve been on Avodart for hairloss since it's release nov 2002, Propecia before that since 98. Avodart and Propecia both prevent prostate cancer if taken before the cancer develops. It also elevates HDL and keeps healthy blood profilby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Just back back from a 4 hour workout...yea I'm crazy like that. Anyway After the Jacuzzi , steam and sauna did get some hard beats and maybe a pac or pvc but I stayed in rhythm. Just checked my blood pressure 129/79 with pulse at 68 and with no out of rhythm icon....!!!! Quite good after that workout!!!! Usually I would go into AFIB after working out like that. I'll see about adding magby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
No I was using CoQ10, L-cartinine along with mag, pot and taurine. Then I added ribose about 5 weeks ago. It seems that everyytime I took the mag, pot and taurine to prevent the pacs /pvc's and AFIB I would get a run within 24 hours. After I stopped those three two weeks ago is when my heart became steady as a rock. I also increased my ribose dosage. to 5-7 grams. Post Edited (01-26-10 18by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
magnesium/potassium regime and taurine I believe is what caused more pac/pvc's and AFIB for me. Ribose/ COQ10, and L-Cartinine is what I feel has made my heart steady as a rock for two weeks.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Just my 2 cents, since adding Ribose about a month ago my heart has calmed down. Two weeks now and no pacs pvcs IOU's I was getting AFIB or pacs/pvc every 3-4 days. I also stopped the magnesium, potassium and taurine because I believe they were causing my unsteady heart and AFIB. I've also taken dronedarone for about 4 months now...... we'll see.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gary-Good Luck to you. Jackie I did my usual 3-4 hour gym workout today with weights and cardio then sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Heart stayed steady as a rock!!!!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Jackie_ I like reading your posts and thanks for contributing to us newbies fighting this beast. Anyway since adding Jarrows Ribose my heart is starting to calm down, looks like it took a couple of weeks to ramp up. I've been using Qunol Liquid CoQ10 from Costco for three months along with Maxi L-Carnitine 500mg but not till I added Ribose did I notice a difference. Im taking Multag for about 4 months, still had breakout AFIB once a week with many ectopics PVC PAC's. I started supplementing with Ribose recently along with CQ10. Ribose seems to have really calmed my heart.....by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Been on Multaq for almost a month now with no side effects and in NSR most of the time. I went off my Tropol XL 25 mg about a week ago and my heart has calmed down quite a bit and HR has calmed down to below 60 BPM. Got diagnosed end of May with AFIB. Started Tropol at time of diagnosis and belive it made my AFIB worse. I also started supplements mentioned on this forum so who knows what is causiby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Now Bobby? Great defensive ballplayer who could rebound and score too. Bird was my man but loved Bobby's tenacity. Yikes WTF!! I also beat up my body for years with multiple sports and currently weight train heavily. Also battled booze and drugs and smoked cigarettes for years, quit now over 12 years ago. Guess I deserve the beast!!! Actually my AFIB is pretty asymptomatic, my sleep study foby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Valerie, I'm impressed with Multag, today makes a week and I'm AFIB free. I had a 3 hour work out wednesday night then another 45 mins in sauna, steam and jacuzzi and no AFIB, did the same last Sat. My Cardiologist thought this was the perfect drug for me and it looks like he was right. Told me the first thing to try if AFIB becomes more frequent is medication but he see's ablatby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes Multag is an anti-arrhythmic, new just released in Julyl I believe. Here's a support group for sleep apnea and CPAP I was overwhelmed myself with both of these conditions to the point where I was missing too many days of work and suffered from anxiety/depression too. Try to take it easy and just thru the day if not just get thru 1 hour! Yes teing one on triggers my AFIB too, soby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Jen, After my AFIB diagnosis back in May I was sent for sleep study due to the strong link between apnea and AFIB. Diagnosed with severe apnea too. I'm on Multaq, new medication which seems to be controlling my AFIB. See my post above. Relax it's that not bad. I think dealing with CPAP is much worse. I still drink plenty of coffee and eat anything I want but try to keep it healthy.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

This past memorial day weekend (a couple of days before) I had an uneasy feeling in my chest and started sweating. I called my cardiologist and went to his office and was diagnosed with AFIB and given metropolol beta blocker. Ending up switching cardiologists because of incompetence, long story. Anyway my current doc sent me to a sleep doctor after checking me twice both initial EKG and subsequenby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
