Local EP prescribed 50mg of metopropol er prior to ablation for last 10 yrs. After stopping flec/met post Natale ablation PVC/PAC came on full force 5k+ daily Natale said back on 25mg of met (no flec)it did ok 500-1k PVC PAC daily stopped again for 48monitor then I requested to go back on metopropol which was granted. With out thinking I started taking 50mg because that's what I had takeby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey Is your insurance going to cover it? If so, count yourself lucky. We have to pay for it ourselves and it's $300 per treatment. Doc says I have chronic plantar fasciitis. I have seen same doc on and off since 2003 hadn't been there since 2012ish. Met my deductible with my ablation so went in for new othortics. Foot doc said I'm his new mission and is going to do what evby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks! Glad to hear it has some real life success. With all due respect to the docs they seem to inflate the successfulness of some of their treatments.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Foot doctor wants to perform shock wave therapy for plantar fasciitis. Had my ablation 5 months ago. Probably being cautious but any concerns of shock wave therapy triggering afibb? Only meds I take is 25mg of metopropol to help keep ectopics down past annoying level. Foot doc said no cause for concern.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Done! took 5min to report the trollsby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Do you still take the BB for the ectopics? Quotesh weca67 Been dealing with ectopics and afib for >15 years...per Pompon they randomly come and go. Some triggers are sure to bring them on...other times I am well rested, seemingly stress free and following a strict diet and wham, they show up... For me... Eat a diet of minimal fats, no dairy, no processed foods, no red meats. Take 50 mg ofby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Metopropol has what I can tell has zero effect on me physically but I rarely push my body to max cardio levels, not my thing. My exercise is hobby farming i.e bailing hay, digging, hauling and gardening etc. Is there long term concerns if metopropol has no visible side effects.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm 3.5 months post ablation getting thousands ectopics daily prior to ablation maybe 1 every couple weeks. Went back on metopropol 50mg. Metopropol taken ectopics from thousands to less then 200 daily. Hoping they'll calm down on there own. Hard not to feel like I traded one problem for another, guess bright side is I'm told this problem is harmless😬by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Think CHADS score is 0. 40 male 6'4 and 204lbs no other medical issues. Meet with EP in a couple weeks.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Will I have to remain on eliquis for ectopic beats? Getting few thousand daily 3.5 months post ablation. Hoping to kick the blood thinner soon checking here to see if anyone has been kept in eliquis for ectopics. No afibb just damn annoying ectopics now.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
More I think about it I was on flec/met for damn near a decade so who knows my normal rates🙄. Imagine it's lower then 80ish for resting. 6'4 male 205 lbs activeish.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Heart rate post ablation is elavated about 8-10 beats higher then normal. Would the elavated heart rate contribute to ectopic beats I'm experiencing?by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
I got afibb 28ish started flec around 30 never progressed to permanent or persistent 40yrs old now. Stopped meds 10days prior to ablation (6/10/20)and got 3 short episodes that converted on their own. Happy to see they converted without meds12 years after 1st episode was worried I'd be in permanent. No afibb 3 months post ablation. Dealing with ectopic beats but they should settle, sby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Does the 12 lead tell them where the PVC's are coming from? uote=Carey] No, it's not going to tell them that. It mainly just counts events and doesn't provide any sort of detailed diagnostic information.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Does the Zio patch tell them where the PVC's are coming from left, right?by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
PVC don't really bother me besides being annoying. My plan is to stay off meds at least until December that's when I'll have a 7 day Zio. I don't have a take it easy button and luckily PVC seems less when active. Texas is sending 48hr Zio patch to get a better idea of the numbers this week. I'm told PVC usually decrease with time, as long as they don't increaby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Do you still take the BB? Quotesusan.d Each EP is different. I was told for me, to start Tenormin 12.5mg a day the first week, 25mg BID the second week and it worked to stop cold turkey the PVCs by the middle of the third week when I increased to 25mg am and 12.5mg pm. You may consider asking your local EP directly to get the proper medical advice if you should switch BB and increase untilby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Had a PVI not PVC ablation with Natale. Very few PVC prior to afibb ablation 1 monthly. PVC started moment I woke up from ablation then stopped 6 days after resuming flec/met post ablation. Stopped flec met 8wks post ablation then PVC started back up again. NP put me back on Met reduced PVC down to around 600-800 daily. Two weeks ago taken off met, now getting 5k-8k estimate daily. I get arby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr. Natale performed my pvi ablation. Not sure just if I'll need ablated just want to know all options if we get to that point and patient experiences. Zio patch coming this week. Flecaniade and metopropol stop PVC's. 25mg Met alone seemed to reduce them from 5k-8k down to less then 1k daily. 3 months to the day post ablation.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM

Regence is my insurance. I have had documented 8 yrs with my local guy. Failed multaq, rytmol, and now appear to be showing signs this year of break throughs with flec/met.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
TCAI submitted the request and appeal as well. My insurance set up a peer to peer but unfortunately TCAI had no one available at the times my insurance called them. Ya my local EP has now been officially benched as far as ablations go. Last visit he had made mention he wasn't sure why people still do RFA anymore. He's a high volume ablationist at UW Medicine.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Not medically necessary was what insurance used as denial. It was a weird vibe almost as if I was ridiculous to go all the way to Texas with locals EP's that could help. He also said he was surprised Dr. Natale took my case.by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Insurance denied my appeal for my Dr. Natale ablation. Talk about kicking people when their down. Went to my local EP to have him start filling out chart notes from here on out as if the sky is falling. Told him I was planning on having Dr. Natale do my ablation. Got an interesting response from him. He stated he's very aggressive, and well known. He didn't give a glowing reviewby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Regence denied my ablation with Dr. Natale. Wasn't even aware when TCAI checked and approved my insurance that it was and issue until week or so ago. Made my trip plans ie plane tickets etc. Very frustrated with regence I guess I have to to an appeal. Any insight into the appeals process? Said ablation wasn't medically necessary yikes. Last 8+years failed 2 drugs and breakthroughsby Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
Regence denied my ablation pre authorization. What now? Saying I'm not symptomatic, just a few months ago I had a 60 her break through while taking flec. Failed 2 other drugs over last 8 yrs. Beyond frustrating!! Any ideas how to have them see the light??by Kleinkp - AFIBBERS FORUM
