Good info NLAMA. I had a home sleep study done last year around this time. I have sleep hypopnea (shallow breathing). So even though I don't stop breathing my shallow breathing has a similar effect. I was borderline as to weather or not I needed CPAP. But with my history it was recommended. I honestly cant say if I really feel any difference. However, the machine says it is helping.by rocketritch - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks Shannon. It's all rather strange. What I'm experiencing now is almost identical to what I experienced back in the very beginning of my afib journey.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Not much new. Been riding allot lately and it feels good to be back at it from a short sebaticle. Have also spent a couple days hiking. One day up in the mountains and yesterday for a short 2 mile hike at a local park. I did speak with Dr Natale today. Based on recordings I have sent him and my personal accounts as to what's going on. He feels it a good idea to take one more crack at myby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

QuoteNotLyingAboutMyAfib Just read the entire thread Rich very helpful. Glad my thread was of help to you. It's hard to convey what's going on sometimes. Especially when there are multiple factors involved. I really put that first PVI (2009) ablation through its paces over that 10 year period. I never let up on my cycling. Following my first with Natale (2018) my back was such a wby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
You should go read my post from my first ablation with Natale. It should give you some perspective. I was a wreck following and had issues til the day I didn't.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
54 - M - 4 Mostly NSR Had my first 2 with a local EP. Got almost 10 years of NSR with the first one. Only a hiccup here and there. When it failed he did another. Basically a touch up. It lasted 3 months. 3 & 4 done by Natale. My triggers were beyond PVI. I also had other issues headed into my first ablation with Natale. Not related to the heart but issues that most definitely put allotby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
These drugs affect everyone differently. As does the ablation. Fitness, age, etc etc all have a roll. Right now I'm taking 25mg metoptolol and 5mg elequis bid. It is affecting my max heart rate but I've placed a self imposed governor on how high I want my heart rate to go for now and have been holding to it. I remember back following my first ablation in 2009 the reactive nature oby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I think I mentioned I was put on Ticosyn (Defetilide) when Flec would not keep me in rhythm. I didnt feel terrible on it but it never kept me in rhythm 100% of the time. I was only on it for a couple months. You need to discuss options with your EP. Staying on anti-arrhythmic drugs long term probably isn't something you want, Also, like you have already experienced. Afib can progress.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Probably the metoprolol causing your sluggishness. I was in flutter for over a week leading up to my first ablation (2009). I was really amped up the entire time. I was allot younger then though.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sorry I haven't been updating this a lot lately I should do it more. I've had a couple More runs of afib since August 5th. Three to be exact. All occurred while I was just sitting around doing nothing. However, I think I might have found a link or at least a trigger. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what's going on as I go out of rhythm at rest. One thing I&by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

I've used flecanide for a couple years as a PIP. I started using it this way about 8 years after my first ablation. After 2 years my affib progressed to a point flecanide would no longer convert me nor keep me in rhythm. Had second ablation and was kept on Flecanide for the first couple of months before it failed to keep me in rhythm. I was then placed on Ticosyn. I have had 4. 2 with a local EP 2 with Dr. Natale. Hindsight says I should have had my first with Natale. He was at CC then and people on this site at the time highly recommended that I should. I'm still having some issues right now. However, I am in NSR pretty much all the time. I'm doing the things that I enjoy without drugs.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Have had allot going on lately. Actually it started back mid June. I had a couple days when my heart decided it wanted to go out of rhythm. I had just come off a stretch of 14 night shifts and was working outside building a block wall. PIP easily converted but Natale's office wanted me to go back on the Flecanide until we could speak. We had a tele-conference about a week later so he cby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

Spoke with Dr Natale yesterday. We discussed my current situation and what's been going on trying to figure out what might be causing me to go out of rhythm. There's nothing that I can point to to give him a clue as to why. He did point out my uncanny propensity to have issues at certain times of the year. The only two things he really asked were that since I work night shift a lot if Iby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
My appointment has moved up to the 30th now. July 2 was not s good day for me since I'll be back on night shift and would have to wake up to make it. I am still in NSR and still on the flec. I've reduced the amount I'm taking to 100mg instead of 150mg and have noticed no difference in my heart. I'm still not convinced I need it. Spoke with one of Dr Natales Afib nurses the other day. they moved my appt up to July 2. She also wanted me to start back onto 150mg of flecanide 2x. Not real thrilled about that and not entirely sure its necessary at this time. Especially since I was having a pretty good run of NSR. I suppose though its better to try to keep it at bay instead of allowing it to progress. Of course along with tby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Any doctor should want what's best for you regardless. Personally, I wouldn't want a doctor that wasn't willing to listen or take advice from another doctor who has more experience with a particular situation.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

2 days now in NSR with only a few ectopics. Still feel out of sorts though. It's a feeling I've tried to explain to people but probably only symptomatic afibers can relate to. The best I can explain is that I feel hollow. To add to my stress they just put the hammer that we will be working a 7/7 shift throughout 2020. We have been working this now for over a month. Since you missed a dose you will most likely need a TEE. They should ask you if you have missed any dosing of the Elequis. Also, sorry to hear you are having issues.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Spoke with Natale's office yesterday. They phones to set up a tele--conference for July 27. At which point we will discuss my current situation as well as LAA occlusion. Dr Natale believes what I am experiencing is Atrial Tachycardia initiating within either the LAA or Coronary Sinus.
