My apologies! I accidentally put this on the wrong Forum (and got the heading wrong). It's on the correct Forum now. Samby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I'm getting a nasty feeling of pressure in my chest when I exercise or do physical work. Even a 50 yard walk or a little bit of pruning brings it on. When I do get it it eases after 15 - 20 minutes of rest but leaves a slight feeling of pressure and weakness for the rest of the day. I'm due to have the procedure to inject dye and map the coronary arteries to check for blockages or naby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Jackie, Yes, Hans described an effect on the vagus nerve. I can't remember exactly what he said and unfortunately all the old Forums are closed so I can't check.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
This move is one of Lars' from a few years ago. The name here is mine - I think - as I can't remember what he called it. I find it stops a run of fast beats in about 10 seconds. As far as an Afib episode is concerned; in my experience it is very effective if you catch the episode just as it's starting and takes between 30 and 60 seconds but I wait till I'm absolutely cerby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, Can we assume that when you gave the amount of Iodine in 2% Lugols you actually meant 12%?by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
It would be wonderful if iodine was the answer. I've suffered with BPH for years. I've also taken Iodine for years. Sadly, no improvement.by Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I've commented on this subject before and some people seemed to find it very amusing but here goes. The best way the increase your testosterone levels is the natural way. Improve the efficiency of your testes by testicular massage. I did this some time ago and increased my testosterone levels by 50% in three months. I've been having problems recently with a feeling of pressure in the chest. It gets worse when I do some work or go for a walk, even as little as 50 yards, and also when I lie down at night. This has been causing me a lot of problems. Last night for instance I has hardly any sleep due to the feeling in the chest which caused, I believe, the runs of fast beats, spells of slow hard beats;by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM

Elizabeth, It's worth noting that Jackie's post deals with Strontium Ranelate not the one I recommended, Strontium Citrate. Ranelate contains a synthetic element added to the Strontium so that the drug company could patent it. Many studies have shown that the natural Citrate version is safe and the side effects are seen with the Ranelate version. A Google search will allowby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Elizabeth, I may have mentioned this before but the best supplement for this is Strontium Citrate. My sister has had excellent results using it.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie, I've used Search but can't find your supplement regime for Adrenal support. I know you've posted it before so Could you direct me to it? Thanks Sam .by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks. Jackie. I looked into low cortisol and adrenal function before but I'll check again. Early Monday morning I had my first episode for almost 6 months. It followed a pattern that I've had quite a number of times. I woke with pacs & with a low pulse - a little under 60 - and I find this is always accompanied by low blood pressure - 90/60 or lower. The pacs gradually increby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie, this was designed as a general question for all who have Hypotension and/or bradycardia or are borderline. I think there must be a number of us on the Forum. I'm borderline from using magnesium, potassium and taurine & have to stop both potassium and taurine at times. Since these three are so important (and others come into the same 'lowering' category e.g. fish oilsby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks. Jackie. This, like many posts, is a reminder to those us with low blood pressure and pulse that many of the supplements that help most people are a problem for us e.g. Taurine, Potassium and Magnesium. Any thoughts of a solution for us? Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Elizabeth, My sister had osteoporosis which led to hairline fractures of the vertebrae. I recommended that she take Strontium Citrate - Doctor's Best Strontium Bone Maker from iHerb -. (NOT Strontium Ranelate) and her next scan some months later showed improved bone density and the hairline fractures had gone. Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
A factor in a successful Catheter Ablation is the size of the Left Atrium. In posts on the Forum a single measurement is given . Is this the Minor Axis (side to side) or Major Axis (Top to bottom) and am I right in assuming that the first of these is the PLX view and the second the A4C view? Thanks Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for doing that, George. Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
I found this link recently. If anyone has tried any of these ( with or without success) i'm sure many of us would like to know. The one I've tried -though not as a way to revert; I used it as a 'cure', is EFT. I had no success in spite of doing it every day for months. Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had a spell of this during the night. Movement stopped it but it soon returned. It's completely gone now that I'm up. Will Catheter Ablation cure it? Thanks Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
I gave a good trial twice over the years. I had no side effects but no benefits either. Samby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Smackman, You have my heartfelt sympathy as I suffer from a related condition. I'm sure you've done your research on this but, for what it's worth, this website gives a good list of the possible causes. Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM

I've been having problems with urinary tract/prostate infections. Neither mainstream nor complementary medicines have proved particularly effective. The claims for Zappers are impressive but do they really work? Has anyone on the Forum had any experience with them? And how wise is it to use something that sends an electrical current through the body when one is prone to Afib? Thankby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, everyone! The Forum to the rescue again. I've been so used to the ng/ml over the years on this site that I didn't even notice I had a different measurement i.e. nmol/L; further compounded by my results giving the figure of over 50 nmol/L as adequate. I think I've hand the proper test. The breakdown is given as 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 : 148.0 nmol/L. 25-Hydroxyvitamin Dby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Checking ones Vitamin D levels is often recommended on this site for Afib sufferers. Where I live we get limited amounts of sunshine and there has been practically none for the last 4 months so this seemed a good time to check my levels. Throughout the winter I've been taking 3000 iu. During the summer I took 1000iu since even then sunshine is limited. I've just had the resultsby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
