As a Physiotherapist let me say - don't sleep on your stomach! It will, over time, cause you serious neck problems.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
David, I've been considering my options should I decide to have an ablation so your comment about Dr Todd's facility being world class was of great interest to me. It would be much more convenient for me than Dr Ernst in London. Can you give me more details? Does Doctor Todd use 3D imaging and map all the chambers of the heart or does he just ablate the nerves round the Pulmonaryby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
There are many authorities who warn against the use of Flaxseed oil especially for men. These include The Mayo Clinic, Dr Al Sears and Dr Weil. I'm a fan of supplements but before I take any I always Google 'Dangers of' or 'Is it safe to take' so that I get both sides views.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Jackie. Problem solved. I was putting < before and > after the address which worked in the past. It's simpler now.by Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I used to be able to do this but my way doesn't work anymore. Can someone tell me the correct way, please. Thanks Samby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
A Cardiologist I spoke to once said Consultants called Amiodarone "The Poison". Says it all.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'd be a little worried about your Doctors comment about at least 3 ablations with a 50% chance of success. Bordeaux have two of the best Ablation specialists in the world but England also has someone who is world class i.e Dr Sabine Ernst in London. She has the experience and expertise as well as state-of-art equipment that I'm sure Dr Segal doesn't have. Check her out on Google.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
As a Physiotherapist the advice I always gave to golfers was to do a few swings in the opposite direction 2 or 3 times during a round. It's a great help in avoiding back problems. I can't guarantee it will help with your problems but it's worth doing anyway.by Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wheat has been a part of mankind's daily diet for millenia. However it changed dramatically in the 1960's. When I was young the plant was twice as tall as it is now. The new genetically modified version with artificial fertilizers, pesticides and overuse of the soil has much bigger changes that its height. Actually white rice does contain arsenic but not as much as brown. It is, however, less nutritious than brown so using brown and removing the arsenic (or as much as possible - it can't all be removed) is the better option. It's worth noting that many other foods also contain arsenic.by Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Just to amend what I wrote. The actual recipe you gave the link for, which doesn't mention my step 1, removes NONE of the arsenic.by Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
The four steps for removing arsenic are:- 1) Soak overnight. 2) Rinse thoroughly under the tap before cooking. 3) Use plenty of water to boil it. 4) Rinse again with hot water before eating. Sam PS Your recipe will not remove as much arsenic as the above steps .by Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Carol, This should take you straight to the free exercises. <www.sleepsolutionsnw.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/orofacial_exercises.pdf. > I've used these but I was never positively diagnosed with apnea. They're well worth trying. I, for one, would not sleep a wink with CPAP. Samby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM

If you go for an Ablation I would not choose the Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital. They only do PVI (Pulmonary Vein Isolation) and don't have the very latest equipment where all the heart is mapped and the catheters are inserted using giant magnets and computer. Bordeaux has this equipment but so does Dr Sabine Ernst at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London & you should be able toby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM
The single biggest help for me was to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated; just over two litres a day. I have two glasses in the morning, at least 1/2 hour before eating: a glass at 11.00 a.m., 2 hours after eating: one at noon, 1 hour before lunch: one at 3.00 p.m.: one at 4.00p.m., 2 hours before tea (my final meal) and one at 9.45 p.m. You should start Magnesium right away - Mag Glyinateby Sam - AFIBBERS FORUM

Many complementary medicine and heath food sites are effusive in their praise of the health benefits of Hemp Seed Oil. Of special interest to us on this forum is the claimed healthy heart benefits. Has anyone tried this for Afib and what results did you get? Thanks Samby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Having eaten a lot of rice cakes in recent years (mostly as a vehicle for my main fat source, goat's milk butter) I'm naturally a bit worried about the recent publicity about the amount of Arsenic in them. I've looked at many websites which recommend Activated Charcoal to remove arsenic but also found two sites - which seem authoritative - which say it won't work after theby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I'm sure you're familiar with the usual tips like cut right down on sugar and get regular, sensible exercise to lose weight. My lesser known tip, which I've recommended to relatives with success that has really surprised them, is to cut out any foods containing gluten. I definitely don't need to lose weight myself but I recently cut out the small amount of my wife'sby Sam - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
