Has anyone taken Nattokinase to prevent clots and at what dose ? I am particularly interested in responses from women.by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks to all of you who replied to my inquiry. Your comments are extremely helpful and I will definitely rethink taking a blood thinner. When I take Aikido classes I usually get a bit bruised but have never been hit in the head which is my biggest concern if I take a blood thinner. I have taken your very knowledgeable comments to HEART.by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
My major form of exercise is a martial art so I am opposed to taking blood thinners because I would have to give it up and that would profoundly effect my quality of life. I have wondered if vitamin E 400+IU might be used as a blood thinner. Has anyone tried it? My cardiologist leans more in the direction of ablation or traditional blood thinners.by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have experienced an onset of AF when sleeping on my left side especially if I detect acid reflux or indigestion. I have noticed these conditions can trigger an AF episode. I used to take probiotics for many years but stopped about 6 months ago due to bloating. I still get AF about every 4-6 weeks and it lasts for 1-4 hours and I take 50mg of metroprolol. As an alternative to blood thinning drugs has anyone tried turmeric, vitamin E (higher than 200IU), ginger ot any other supplement?by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
My cardiologist recommends Magnesium Glycinate. I take Nature Bell 500MG caps along with Pure Mag. Glyc. 120MG caps after breakfast. I take another Pure 120MG cap after lunch. That split dose is fine with my Dr. but you should check about the amount you should be taking. Some folks can get diarrhea from high dose Mag. I also learned from this website that there may be some connection between a-fby aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you, George. Much appreciated.by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
Has anyone tried a daily prophylactic dose of Metroprolol before bedtime? My cardiologist tells me it "may" help prevent an A-fib episode. Thank you to those who responded to my question about watchman vs ablation.by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
I wan t to avoid ablation. Anyone out there using watchman?by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you, Daisy. I will certainly look into that.by aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF in 2017. My episodes have occurred, on average, about once a month, lasting about an hour with a few episodes lasting up to 7 hours. However, beginning 8/31/23, I've had no episodes until this morning. I took 50mg of Metroprolol and in an hour I was back to normal heart rhythm. That said, I hope it will be helpful for me to share what I have been doing tby aikidorobbins - AFIBBERS FORUM
