I've had two ablations and still continue to have afib about once a week. I practically never have a fib while standing, hiking, or moving about. It seems like possibly 98 percent of my a fib episodes is initiated when I sit down or bent over at the waist. I'm thinking there is a correlation between a fib and my hiatal hernia near the vagus nerve.by hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM
I too have a hard time functioning when in a fib. Im very short of breath and when I take flecanide, it makes dizzy and tired.by hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for the information. Currently, my afib is only between maybe 75 to 85 bpm and always starts when im sitting or laying down. I'm doing fast 2 mile walks in the mountains at 5600 feet and feel fine. I had a lot of issues with my stomach after the ablation and they gave me omeprazol which seems to help.by hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM
Five weeks ago I had my 2nd ablation. The fist one was done 9 years ago and cryo balloon ablation was done. The recent RF ablation was done and I'm having slow a fib (75 to 85 bpm) about every 3 days. I take 300 MG of flecanide and it converts back to normal sinus rhythm in two hours. I've started hiking and my cardio feels like it getting stronger everyday. Has anyone had occasional aby hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM

Well, after my cryobaloon ablation in 2014 and having a real hard recovery period, I swore I'd never go through that again. After 8 years, with a fib increasing to every week, I decided to go in last Monday for my 2nd. The doctor said some of the nerve cells grew back and he was successfully able to ablate them. Fortunately I was able to leave the hospital that same day in normal sinus rhytby hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM

I've had proximal a fib for about 13 years. About 9 years ago, I had cyrobaloon ablation done at Ceders Sinai in Los Angeles. I was a fib free for about 2 years. Now , it a weekly thing. I'm looking at either doing it again at Ceders or possibly Dr. Natale when he comes to thousand oaks for the month.Any suggestions? Other than the darn a fib, I'm very active hiking and cross cby hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM

Does anyone know of any Hospitals or Doctors in the Northern California area that are doing Pulse field ablation yet? I had a ablation dome at Ceders Sinai about 9 years ago and had complications. Afraid to have another ablation.by hikerjim - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have been taking Flecainide PIP for about 10 years. Currently though, its been taking it about 10-24 hours to work. Had one ablation at Ceders sinai about9 years ago but now getting a fib about once a week or so.
