Albuterol, which is an ingredient in many asthma inhalers, is not my friend.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes. Betablockers can make some people feel like crap, at least in my experience. Among other meds for afib, I am on metoprolol succinate for rate control for afib, hypertension, and it also helped with my PVCs. After starting the metoprolol, I first described the feeling I had as light headedness. Because of my description of how I felt, my EP thought it was probably a blood pressure issue, butby FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I would eat a spoonful of dried dog poop if it would stop my arrhythmias.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM

I am presently taking 1000 mg of each (taurine and l-arginine) twice daily and also take mag taurate 400 mg to 600 mg daily, along with bananas and low sodium V-8 juice a couple of times daily for potassium. I have been taking the taurine and l-arginine for a couple of weeks. In addition to helping with the arrhythmias, my blood pressures and pulse rates are better, so I reduced my metoprolol sucby FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
Has anybody here tried taurine and L-arginine for PVCs and PACs? I have had PVCs and PACs for two years, sometimes several or more per minute. They are really bothersome, even though my EP doesn't get too excited about them. I started taking taurine and L-arginine a couple of weeks ago and they are almost gone. Just wondering about other's experiences.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
PACs? Cardia can't identify PACs and often indicates possible afib,by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am on Eliquis 5mg BID for afib. I went up to Michigan's Upper Peninsula last summer and camped for the season in a pretty remote area. I drove my truck to a trail head about five miles from my campsite and went for a hike. About three miles into the hike, I stepped on a shed deer antler. It was laying on the ground, points up, and was razor sharp because critters had been gnawing on it. Thby FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am on both diltiazem and metoprolol. I call the feeling I get from them "Balloon Head". Not really pleasant.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
When I had an ablation' they accessed the veins in both legs. There was quite a bit of bruising on each inner leg for a while.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I met with my EP yesterday. I have been needing a second touch up ablation and was hoping the pulsed field ablation would be a good thing for me. My EP said that the pulsed field ablation is not specific enough for the fine tuning and site specifics needed for a second ablation.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have never heard about problems with drinking low sodium V8 and taking metoprolol together. I take metoprolol for rate control for afib and BP. I also drink low sodium V8 for the potassium and take mag taurate for PVCs. They seem to help with my PVCS. I will be interested in hearing what others say since I am no expert by any means.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM

Weird that this just came up. I have recently developed pain, redness, and swelling in the first joint of my big toe. I have been thinking it may be gout. I don't really have any typical risk factors for gout that I can think of. But I have been on metoprolol succinate for 2 years for afib. I have never heard that it can contribute to gout. Another piece of the never ending puzzle to the afiby FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
When I was in afib, I definitely felt it. It felt like a large fish flopping around in my chest and I got really light headed and short of breath. It was awful. And it sometimes went on for days.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have a history of afib. I tried some THC gummies and also tried smoking some pot in a state where it is legal. Pulse went sky high and I went into afib every time. Nothing will ruin your buzz more than an afib episode. Learned that lesson. Not worth it.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am not in afib as long as I take the dofetilide. I went back into afib after trying to stop the dofetilide. Went back into NSR after resuming the dofetilide. Sorry if I was not clear.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
Stopped the dofetilide after 90 days. Went into afib after holding 2 doses of dofetilide. My kardia said i was in afib and I could definitely tell I was in afib. Never had a holter monitor assessment.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I learned the hard way that THC gummies trigger my afib sometimes. I avoid them.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I started dofetilide on 5/10/21 for persistent afib. I went into normal sinus rhythm after 2 doses. I remained in sinus rhythm for about a year and then started having breakthrough episodes of afib. I had an ablation on 6/28/22. The breakthrough episodes of afib stopped, but when my EP tried stopping the dofetilide after the blanking period, I went into afib after holding 2 doses. So now I remainby FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM

CBD never did anything for my rhythm problems (afib, PACs, PVCs). THC definitely made them worse (according to a friend .by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
I started with meds for afib. I finally got an ablation after a couple of years. Looking back, I wish I had just started with the ablation. Get an EP. Just my 2 cents worth.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks. I appreciate everyone's comments here. Afib is a learning experience for sure.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
For me, I had surgery under a general anesthetic while I was in the blanking period and my EP did not feel it was wise to stop my dofetilde during all of that. So, he elected to wait. I was completely comfortable with that.by FibberMcGee - AFIBBERS FORUM
