I wonder if NO2 may affect sleep breathing too. I have noticed that my sleep breathing is generally better on days when I don't drive in traffic. (I bought a machine to monitor my sleep vitals.) Someone should do a study.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
She did bring it to doc's attention a day or so later. I posted my question before doc ordered the stress test to gather more information. I didn't know what a QRS of 124 meant, or what I was supposed to do about it.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Doc scheduled a stress test in 2 weeks. He'll go from there. Thank you for your answer. The nurse seemed concerned, which made me wonder. I'll just wait for the stress test and let doc tell me what my options are.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM

Britain says there is a difference. According to the Brits, in their experience diltiazem is one of the few meds where which brand of generic a patient takes matters. Decide for yourself. "As stated in the BNF and SPS, modified release Diltiazem containing more than 60 mg* should always be prescribed by brand, rather than generically. My experience is that Amazon doesn't let you choose your favorite brand. They just send something randomly. They used to let you choose, but something changed. They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction anymore.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Honeybee came through for me. A bottle of the correct pills arrived in the mail today. They are a reliable pharmacy.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I wrote to the manufacturer for a list of pharmacies that carry their product. I still haven't received an email from Honeybee that my replacement shipment has been sent. The adventure continues. Update on Medicare Part D plan finder price on Cardizem 360. The new full retail price listed by the plan finder is $2724.12 annually. Much improved compared to the previous year's number. Its now barely affordable if I have to pay cash for name brand because of complicated procedures for finding pharmacies carrying Sun brand Cardizem generic.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
That number was provided by Medicare Part D plan selector. I don't know where they got it. 14K is still steep. When I was having a time of it finding Sun brand generic, I explored the possibility of name brand. I was on that for awhile and did okay. Insurance only seems to want to pay for Ingenus brand, which didn't work out so well in the past. So I have just been paying cashby Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Some of the pharma companies are playing games with their prices. Medicare's part D plan finder told me my insurance won't cover name brand Cardizem, so I would have to pay $40,000 cash annually for the pills if I wanted them. This is for something that has had generic equivalents for awhile now. Their meds are only for the very rich. Common people are left in the lurch.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you. I did notice that they charge $300 for a 90 day supply compared to $200 for the other pharmacies. Still, it would be worth it if they give me the right stuff reliably.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I went to Blink pharmacies web site, and couldn't find any way to order the specific generic brand I want.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Blink pharmacies. Thanks for the tip. I will keep their number on record for future reference in my search. Pills arrived from Honeybee today. Unfortunately they were the wrong pills. They sent me a Tiazac generic instead of the Cardizem generic my doctor prescribed. Thank you everybody for your helpful suggestions. I can see that I have a lot of work to do. I ordered Honeybee's Sun brand pills. When I called they assured me that only Sun would be sent, and put a note on my chart to only send Sun. I am waiting for the scrip to transfer over from Amazon. Anyone know where I can reliably obtain Sun brand diltiazem 360? I have 5 years of event free time on Sun brand diltiazem and flecainide 100 or flecainide 50. About a year ago I was on Igneus brand diltiazem 360 for 1 month when the local pharmacy switched to that, and had 3 events in that one month. I switched back to Sun brand via Amazon pharmacy and now have another year of event free time.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM

I've been trying to do a bit of research. There seems to be different time release mechanisms. Controlled delivery being the best, as it keeps the level fairly constant. Extended delivery seems to be periodic release every few hours, which allows levels to vary throughout the day. Another thing is puzzling me. There seems to be different molecular configurations of diltiazem made by diby Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am focusing on how much diltiazem is in my system during various times of the day. Resting pulse is just a proxy for that variable. When I had a constant amount of diltiazem in my system, I was event free for years. When the quantity of diltiazem varied during the day, afib happened 3 times when diltiazem in my blood was low.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
The brand I successfully took for many years was from Sun Pharmaceuticals. It was an oblong white/blue capsule with 679 stamped on it. This is it: The pharmacy I was obtaining it from said they couldn't get it anymore. I went to another pharmacy to ask. They looked it up and said Sun wasn't making them anymore. (Then they offered to sell my a different brand for $1000.) Theby Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Okay, I didn't know there was a difference between sustained release, extended release, and controlled release. Which is best for diltiazem 360, and which brands use the best method? I own 4 different pulse/ox units, and check their readings versus each other. The batteries are fairly new in all of them.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Did anyone have the experience of some brands of extended release diltiazem working better than others? Which brand is the best? My previous brand seemed to keep my pulse more stable through the day. When my pharmacy switched me to a different brand, my pulse seemed to vary more throughout the day. As monitored by my battery powered pulse/ox.by Michael777 - AFIBBERS FORUM

I got in the habit of writing down the calories of everything I eat, and stopping when the numbers say to. It took a bit of experimenting with different numbers of daily calories to figure out how many stabilize my weight. For me, about 2150 keeps me even. Varies slightly with exercise.
