Hi Jackie, do you remember how you felt when you did try propafenone? Just curious because I have tolerated it so well for so long and I guess I didn't expect any issues. I recently had a second PVI Ablation and have been instructed to stop Propafenone after 6 weeks. Everything has gone well since the ablation except trying to get off of this drug I have been taking for about the last twelve years. I tried at 6 weeks and after a couple of days of weaning off felt some strange things going on with my heart so I went back to full dose 3 x 150 mg per day. Started weaby GregB - AFIBBERS FORUM
Would like to seek some advise on my situation. I am 56 and have had lone AF for over 20 years. In the past year or so before I had my ablation I was averaging 1 to 2 episodes a week that lasted between 4 to 18 hours but always converting with out having to go to the ER. Hi Jackie, thanks for your comments. I have been taking 300mg of magnesium citrate in the morning and 400-600 mg of magnesium glycinate in the evening. I don't normally have any issues with this amount. No kidney problem either. After the ablation I took an extra 200 mg of glycinate and that was when I noticed the pac's more.
