QuoteNotLyingAboutMyAfib Davros - definitely start looking at BG levels and see if you can also get a fasting insulin level - 13 hrs water only and get your lipids while at it. Betting your trigs, insulin and glucose (A1c) are all high. Thanks George and NLAMA! Davros might also want to look at Dr Bernstein's site? There is a subtle difference between normal and optimal.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Perhaps worth to add that he had said that he had the 4 tests on the same day by the same lab and operators. Presumably they had the same number of cycles as well?by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Davros, why don't you check your blood glucose levels a few times a day to see what your carb tolerance is?by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
FWIW i had zero side effects taking Flec but then again i only took it for, i think, about one week BID and then converted. After that i took 50mg only once a day at night for some months. I did stop for a few weeks in between but had an episode so i just take 50 mg every second day. Don't even know if that is effective pharmacologically but it may help with my mind?by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Trained dogs would do the same.by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks for the links George Another factor that isn't so clear is at what stage of the infection was the antiviral administered which seems to be critical for outcomes by the accounts I have read so far.by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
So Dr Marick doesn't know what he is talking about? Remdesivir is an approved drug but shows no difference in mortality outcome Also bizarre?by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Dr Marick sounds like a well informed and reasonable professional. Even if it only half works it could be a game changer?by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Don't know if it is placebo and not quite sure how i should describe my 'method'. Not that i have dipped into AF for quite some time but whenever if feel that my HR wants to go 'funny' (double beats or missed beats as far as i can tell) i breath in quite deep and hold my breath and when the urge comes i slowly breath out and then continue as per normal or sometimes i doby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well, pulling lots of ferns out at a frenetic pace and not drinking anything. If i think about it, dehydration might have been a big part because i'm otherwise fit with a BMI in the low 20s.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lucky, blessed - just thought it might give some hope to others. As we all know how debilitating and depressing(at least in my case) it can be. This is not helped when one realizes that the professionals don't really understand AF either. Sure, they offer patch up and sadly this is what many of us punters have to settle for. Still, better than being in AF.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
About 4/5 years ago i went into 3/4months permanent AF after high exertion gardening for about 2 hours. I'm almost 71 now. The Cardiologist (i saw after about 2 months)gave me a massive nocebo. He told me that he would not like to sit in my chair and the option was a mild poison escalating to stronger etc and then ablation if the previous tactic doesn't work (his words). He also toldby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wonder if anybody knows material to confirm or dismiss? Please go to 20:50: Also earlier on the Dr said that taking > 4g omega3/day increases risk of prostate cancer by 40+%by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
While HCQ is definitely not for us afibbers and possibly not for COVID-19 sufferers it seems that they used high to toxic dosing if the British prescribing guidelines are correct (British National Formulary)?by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I'm afraid you are right about financial and power interests PC, MD. It's difficult for outsiders though because of half truth.by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Dr John Campbell says in this interview @ 49 min something about hydroxychloroquine and at 53:50 that there is some evidence that the flu vaccine pre-disposes for other viral infections or words similar? Is he just speculating????by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Go to 0:35 min if you are interested. My question is about what keeps our thymus gland effective as we age?by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thank you for clarifying, it's a 'jungle' out there - diet is another one PC,MD!by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
PC,MD is this one of the mainstream experts you are talking about? Anyway, i'm taking 4 to 5000 i.u./day since last year and added one table spoon of codliver oil 2 months ago.by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Another COVID hope? A 500 bed Boston homeless shelter braced itself for a COVID outbreak. By mid March they had nobody sick, end of March still no problem. On 2nd April they got test kits and tested 408 people, 147 were positive but none had a single symptom. Much the same results were observed in other shelters. Then it goes on about the 1918 flu in Boston and how they reduced the death rby Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Another possibility is that low D levels in people with good diets and outdoor time could be due to other problems? Horse and Cart....? He says, supplement or don't supplement; supplementing D3 however does not address the cause of low levels...by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Susan, as you know no test is 100% and it's horses for courses. The advantage of the 15min at home test is that it's cheap and most likely catches the most infectious so they can take precautions right before they leave the home for work etc. . This looks promising as soon as the regulatory bodies get with the program? It would make contact testing practically superfluous while bringing the spread under control. It is also relatively economical to implement.by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
When i feel my heart rhythm go 'funny' i take a fairly deep breath in and hold it for as long as comfortable and relaxing. This usually makes my Hrythm feel normal again. Right after i sort of breath deep rhythmically but slow.by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I do altered breathing when i feel the heart rhythm going 'funny'. I ask all these questions because i want to understand how it exactly applies to my problem. Your resources go a long way to do that. Thank you George!by Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Shannon, thank you for #2671by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wonder if someone would be good enough to add some clarity re. AF and using this? I know George is very knowledgeable on breathing related subjects. Wonder if you could comment? Go to 18:05 for the diagramby Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
QuotePoetKim As George said. I'd add that vagal afibbers may sometimes experience afib while digesting. Quiet exercise after meal may prevent this. That's very good to know. Thanks! I am going to resume my earlier habit of an after-dinner walk. kim At the very least it will lower your blood sugarby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
