I'm not a physicist nor an electrical engineer but i'm interested to find out about real effects of EMFs. A heating effect of a cell phone held to the ear can be clearly demonstrated. Sperm exposed to a cell phone show decreased motility and some damage... So, EMFs aren't exactly health promoting but they do attenuate quickly with distance? For me, that means don't carry iby Joe - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Rob, with all the 'natural' supplements you are taking you must be very careful taking Eliquis as well. Listen to the pharmD in one of the last talks at the recent Dallas afib seminar.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Listen to the experts and you'll have many pertinent questions to ask your specialist at your next consult. I listened to all 21/2 days of it and found it excellent (maybe i'm a bit nerdy?). One aspect that wasn't covered is genetics, bio-chemical individuality and how to optimize our macro nutrient mix intake and heightened requirements for other nutrients and minerals/balancby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
I've had several acupuncture sessions with a Chinese practicioner when i was in permanent AF - made absolutely no difference.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bit sad, really. Suspect there are a few more problems other than afib to address? Best wishes to you Grace! Hope you find answers.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM

Anneh, GP and Cardiologist tell me that it isn't enough for me (2.5g 2x/day Eliquis). Perhaps because i weigh 70kg? I took the risk of natto and raw garlic as well as a high plant diet instead of Eliquis after about one year of not having AF (well, not that i have noticed) but still have occasional 'miss beats'. Have had a few short episodes of AF this year. Also my heart beby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
All sounds to me that it is a matter of getting fundamentals right and in the right balance - first (BMI, visceral fat, anti-inflammatory markers, physical activity) All this is achieved with diet and life style. Would be nice if one didn't have to make changes to what we are accustomed to by just taking drugs. If that doesn't help we take supplements, meds and or have an ablation(s)by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotecolindo So Natto food is pretty great stuff.... you just got to learn how to eat it... You have to get over the smell, which is not as bad as some would make you belive and find a preparation that suits you. It's not bad tasting at all. Even my two grandsons (both just over 1yo) like to eat itby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Looks pretty good to me for someone with afib. ?by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hmmm, i thought a U-wave can be an indication of hypocalemia? What's your cardiologist's diagnosis?by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks wolfpack! That's what i thought, there is a P wave.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Carey! I'd call it an irregular rythm. The GP took my pulse and noticed the irregularity (went there because of my heavy cold). She checked the distances between the Rs. My score is 1 to 1.5? 68yo and had permanent afib for 4 months. Virtually afib free for the last 1.5 years (1x 5/6hour and self converted and 2x 10/15 minutes also self converted. Stopped all medication last Noveby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Went to the GP today with a bad cold that has been lasting for 5/6 days. She found my HR a little irregular @ 87 when they did the EKG and 68 when i sat down in her office. P wave is excellent and so is QRS. Last time my EF was checked it was 55. The GP thinks i definitely should be on an anticoagulant because a clot can form in the left ventricle. With just a slight irregular HR (the R peaksby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Interesting as always, Jackie! Dr Terry Wahls mention a study that shows if one's A1C level are > 5.2 for extended periods?, brain shrinkage is observed. So, maybe another benefit taking Berberine (if one isn't prepared to make the required dietary changes which would be cheaper and no doubt even better). BTW. she recommends < 5.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM

Really sorry you have to go through all that! Sounds like you need to see a talented integrative physician. The current lot is not helping - obviously. Treating symptoms with all these drugs..... While it's way beyond me to suggest any treatment it does remind me of Dr Terry Whals, her MS and the way she was treated by the very 'best' medicos with no positive results. That's why it is important to know how to place leads and interpret the signals sent. Wonder how these new gadgets can replace V1 to V5 plus the neutral leads? They can't. For one, an R progression can't be seen.....by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
You are the practical man, Carey. If all 'alternatives' fail ablation is the only option - agreed. I do think that the Professional heart specialists are to focused on drugs first. This is possibly a result of their training background, business model and also complying with treatment protocols to protect themselves? Thank you Jackie for the links - great refreshers to read.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
Most likely old new to many of you but interesting for newly or relatively newly afflicted like me. Googled: Dr Najeeb and listened to ECG Interpretation 1-8 & Cardiac Arrhythmias - Aterial & Ventrical Fibrilation It took a few hours but answered sooo many questions to make the time worthwhile. His train of thought is very easy to follow. But i realize that non technically/interesteby Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
No, it didn't , Irene. Not permanently. I had a few hours of AF earlier this year which converted taking B12 and more Mg. Don't know if the conversion would have happened without taking supplements. Also had another 5 to 10 minute one early last month. Nothing taken, just breathing to increase CO2. I do get ectopic beats irregularly.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had the same effect of metoprolol as the previous two members. I stopped taking them because of the horrible tiredness. The cardiologist prescribed Sotalol instead and that worked much better for me. He did recommend 80mg 2x/day but i soon cut that to 40 mg/day and after 1 year and reducing it further i stopped taking all drugs.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM

I'd like to know as well, i am in Melbourne. I have googled some and found EPs who worked with some well known ones overseas. It's difficult to find out their experience/competency without inside information - which is difficult to come by.by Joe - AFIBBERS FORUM
