Just relating the recipe found.... I eat veggies as raw as possible; totally raw is best of course. And with the super blender there is no need to soften anything up by cooking as it will whip anything into a smoothie. I am sure that Mott's Vegetable Cocktail has some sort of pepper juice in it... or some 'warm' peppers added. It has a bit of a bite. I am going to take the inby Murray L - AFIBBERS FORUM
I find that excessive (read=almost any) salt will give me issues with PAC's PVC's etc. Compounds my anxiety, which as a dog chasing its own tail, exacerbates my rhythm issues. Aldona... Agreed. NEVER give up. NEVER lose faith. And always, whatever your lot happens to be, live each day to the fullest and enjoy your time. My philosophy is a simple one. To pass my time pleasantly. We all know where we started and where we will end. The trick is to pass your time pleasantly and take your full portion of life. My EP's seemed to think that my pulse rate in the 50's was too slow and cut my Metoprolol so that I only go down into the high 50's at full rest. If I am awake and moving I am generally around 70-75 bpm. BTW, I find that I have to avoid COLD protein shakes or smoothies as the ice cold liquid is a 'trigger' for me.by Murray L - AFIBBERS FORUM
The only thing that I can really add to any advice you receive is this: 1. I was a candidate for ablation 18 months ago and was not referred to an EP by my quack cardiologist who figured he would have me on Warfarin until he had 6 - 8 weeks in 'the range' and then do an electrocardioversion, which, of course, failed miserably. 2. When he finally gave me that electrocardioversion (I wby Murray L - AFIBBERS FORUM
Greetings Neroli.B: You do indeed have a complicated situation (I thought mine was complicated) far beyond my experience or expertise. Well, after some serious googling I came up with a grand total of one recipe for homemade V8 juice and here it is: From the RecipeKey website at www.recipekey.com Homemade V8 Juice ================ 15 pounds Ripe Tomatoes Chopped 2 Cups Celery Chopped 3 Onions Chopped (I think I'd use sweet Vidalia onions) 3 Unit Cloves of Garlic Minced or Mashed 1/4 Cup Sugar to taste Salt to tby Murray L - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks to all for taking the time to respond. I am going to try and find that website online that gives the contents and recipes for popular products (generally things like Macdonald's hamburgers and junk food). Perhaps one wil find it there. I would like to make FRESH garden cocktail to get my Potassium and add my D-Ribose into. Anyone have a recipe for same? I am torn between the two of them; the Mott's is tastier and a little 'peppery'. I go back and forth. iHerb has containers that hold about 24 oz. of liquid, have a pouring spout with cover and comes with a stainless steel ball for mixing the contents well (by Murray L - AFIBBERS FORUM
Erich: I can see that nothing is going to convince you that smoking and good health are like oil and water; they simply do not go together. I have not had an explanation of why; but on discharge from hospital in December in NSR and on TIKOSYN, they reduced my Metoprolol dosage from 25mg b.i.d. to 12.5 mg. b.i.d. and I am guessing it was because my heart rate was just too slow and they wanted it faster to ward off the evil aFib demons. I have gone from 50 to 25 to 12.5 mg b.i.d. over the past year and my heart rate is running aroundby Murray L - AFIBBERS FORUM
Janet: It is unlikely that the electrocardioversions had anything to do with your NSR. I empathize completely as my very first ECV failed and the MD that did it did not have even the courtesy to speak with me afterwards. That five minute wait was too long for him. SOB. I have found that the magnesium 'keeps me regular' and when I was in hospital they tried to give me a laxative. Erling, et. al. I have been delinquent in my supplementing with D-Ribose. Short memory. I wanted to relate my TIKOSYN story to you along with what I picked up from posts and white papers thinking it might help. I am going to have to google Vitamix. We are very big on raw veggies as well as undercooked veggies (my kids would call them raw). In regards to the sodium intake; we aim to completely eliminate sodium and settle for what we wind up taking in either as hidden sodium or in small amounts, as in the low sodium V8 (which isn't as low as I'd like).
