This is what I must have had when overdosed of flec caused 3 days in icu and also appeared during ablation which they had to terminate because of the PR they noticed. Dr Natale’s PA is seeing me Wednesday morning for an ekg and liver lab since my liver enzymes are occasionally higher when in flecainide my past drug and since I have mild but many annoying side effects with multaq which, like the rest, isn’t friendly to my liver. Actually my af stopped and then I went overseas and couldn’t fit my cpap machine and didn’t use it. I ended up getting af every 4 days because I was ignorant and lazy and didn’t use it for 4 months. Cpap does help. Push for the cpap machine! Two EP told me my af return was from sleep apnea and not using the cpap.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
I own three ecg machines. One only reports ST (mine is currently +0.5), QRS (mine is 0.09) pulse and it blinks if in Afib. Cedar Sinai’s EP said it’s spot on to his ekg. I rarely use it because it doesn’t print but I like the two features plus pulse. It’s a German grand Medisana Cardiocheck. It was in a afibbers report over 10 years ago when monitors were discussed. Go to drugs.com check out side effects, click on professional and itching and rashes are 10%. As I said, it’s a small price to pay if it keeps me out of AF. I am just sensitive. I agree multaq is a harsh drug. My EP who recommended Dr Natalie was against it saying flecainide cause serious problems and he personally wouldn’t give multaq to me but it’s up to Natalie. Flecainide I was lucky for 15 years until I had an overdose (I was badly advised to take a third pill which put me in ICU.) What’s your glucose test results if you go to the ER? I lowered my carbs and sugar— my triggers were high salt, sugar and too much carbs sugar foods and low K and low magnesium. In the beginning I could convert with two 5.5oz low sodium V-8 and a Valium. That helped for 13 years. Do you have acid reflux after eating (spicy foods, fruits high in acid)? No chest pains that I thought would appear after an ablation because of the burning. Calm heart today and yesterday. Low blood pressure of 90/60 and my hr is dropping from the 98 after ablation to the high 70s during rest to 80s when standing. They ablated my vagal ganglia nerve so I woke up with a high hr which I was told is normal...it’s getting slower and calmer. I am getting muscle spasmsby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
