I have "white coat" issues when I go to a Doctors office. Today my Heart rate was 122 bpm and my bp was 135/83. This was 8:30 AM At 6 AM this same day, my heart rate was 76 bpm. I am bothered with my Tachycardia attack at the Doctors office. I have not seen this high of a heart rate in 3 months. I had my Cather Ablation Done Feb. 27 by Dr. Natale. I lost 90+ lbs in the year 2010; 285 lbs to 197 lbs. I did it on the weight watchers diet. It took 10 months. I also walked almost everyday around 3.5 miles a day or approx. a 1 hour walk. All of 2010 and 2011 I continued to maintain my goal weight by diet and exercise. I kept my weight off. I was found with AFIB in Dec 2011; over a year after my weight loss and proper dieting. The no response tells me not many on this forum have taken Multaq. After some extensive googling, I have found that Multaq does contain a beta blocker which will lower the blood pressure along with the heart rate. I will need to get my medications for blood pressure updated due to this. My blood pressure is not bad; 140/90 at its worse but it was 130/80 taking the Multaq. I stopped the Multaq on April 24. I have noticed my Blood Pressure has increased; It is 138/90 where it was 125/79 when taking Multaq. I currently take Metorprolol ER 12.5 mg 3X a day. Does Multaq lower the blood pressure? It looks like I need to increase my Blood Pressure medication Metorprolol ER to 25 mg 2X a day since I am off the Multaq.by smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM

A routine colonscopy probably saved my life around 8 years ago; I was only 47 but my family had a history of colon cancer. ONE polyp was removed; It turned out to be one stage from cancerous. Back on the Xarelto per Doctors orders. I stopped the baby aspirin. Dr. Natales NP said it was not necessary when taking Xarelto. I was told by the Nurse Practicioner at Austin to stay off the Xarelto and only 3 days, not 5. They also told me the Aspirin was not necessary when I took Xarelto. My Cardiologist said 5 days was fine. The swelling is way down but I have a hell of a shiner! LOLby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have been taking 1 teaspoon a day of the Natural Calm Magnesium a day in 2 divided doses along with 600 mg of chelated magnesium. I also drink 1 quart of WW water a day. Okay, I have a hematoma under my left eye after being accidently hit with a aluminum bat while teaching my 6 year old grandchild how to hit. This was yesterday or 24 hours ago. I had a Xray and nothing is fractured. My GP wants me to stop Xarelto for 5 days along with the 81 mg baby aspirin to give the hematoma time to heal. It is a "nice size" hematoma. I was told to stop the Multaq on April 24,2014 which I did. There was no "weening off" process. The last couple of days My body becomes "jittery" inside; It is a feeling of being nervous. I can honestly say I have no idea where my AFIB came from. I lost 90+ lbs in the year 2010. I was on Weight Watchers and I walked. In Dec. 2011 I was still maintaining my weight loss by eating properly and wlaking; staying active. So, The big picture is that chelated magnesium will not cause loose stools like Magnesium Citrate. Honestly, I did not know that. There is no way I want to spend $60+ dollars a month on magnesium. I thought chelated was the way to go because it was more readily absorbed by the body which in turn does little for constipation without going to a real high value.
