Louise: You don't mention what dental procedure you're considering. For most the concern is not how much blood is being spilled by the procedure but more that the blood flow gets in the way of seeomg during the microscopic procedures dentists frequently do. A few drops of blood can hide areas they're trying to treat. In my case the Endodontist and my Cardiologist agreed uponby ggheld - AFIBBERS FORUM
After my diagnosis a year or so ago I have been sending in weekly 2 lead Kardia recordings. I have found that its easy to press two hard on the sensors, better to stay away from my Nest Wifi modules, put my wrist on the table along with my fingers and still expect to take two or three recordings to get a clean one. As George says, cleaning the sensors with alcohol before use and wetting the finby ggheld - AFIBBERS FORUM

If you're concerned talk with your prescribing physician about a bridging protocol for a couple of days with Lovenox. Worked fine for me with dental surgery. Cardiologist and Endodontist talked and arrived at protocol. You might be concerned about the amount of adrenalin the Endodontist wants to use during the procedure as that can speed up your heart rate.by ggheld - AFIBBERS FORUM

Basically the same thing happened to him at Sutter Health, (CPMC), in San Francisco. The administration was trying to bring in many specialties as employees to better control the total patient esperience and therefore the income from it so they lost the training Natale provided for many up and coming EP's due to their own restrictive policies.by ggheld - AFIBBERS FORUM

Bill: I had a Natale ablation in 2007, more Afib in 2020, and another Natale ablation in February, 2021, almost at the height of the Pandemic restrictions and rescheduling. I was 83 years old then. In California last February nobody was allowed to be with the patient unless actually admitted to the hospital, (Afib is a "23 hour" procedure), so as an outpatientn you're on your own as far as info and I agree with the others that you miss a lot. Susan: I had an ablation at that hospital in February. I wanted to be the first of the day so had to arrive before 6:00AM. Although Uber took an advance booking and kept the scheduled 5:30 pickup until a little after 5:00, they then told me no driver's available. So did Lyft and the local taxi service. The fix for me was, as George suggested, a limo service the hotel uses. The deby ggheld - AFIBBERS FORUM
Smackman: Why not use a regular pill cutter and cut your 5 mg Eliquis tablet in half? I've done that with other pills for years with no problems. I've been buying the 5 mg generic for Eliquis, Apixaban, from Canada for about $1.50/pill so that would mean your cost/day for half doses is about $1.50. That'll keep you out of the donut hole. I'm certainly no specialist, either, just an 83 y/o who had his second abalation 2 weeks ago, (first one was in 2007). For some, maybe half, the reaction to the second Covid inoculation, either vaccine, is more significant that the first. The downside is that you may be feeling wiped out for a couple of days. The upside is that means the first inoculation is working as your body is building defenses to fight an invader. Read in The Atlantic: Gordonby ggheld - AFIBBERS FORUM
