Speaking anecdotally about Ca and Potassium levels, with every test since 2015, always acceptable levels. Personally I could never understand anyone thinking they have a need to supplement these two minerals that for me, seem to be so readily food available.by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Dean and her product have more issues than lead, but that's a new one and a good reason to avoid. She had her medical license revoked in Canada for starters. Next up is the product she brags is the greatest form of Mag. Maybe if the contents were accurate, but then its grossly overpriced also. I agree and so do most voters on election day. Why else report them if no one cares? We know these candidates are being cared for with some meds that have been reported to cause dementia such as NSAIDs and Statins. Damn right I will be looking closely at their reports and their running mates.by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
What is truly surprising about this subject is, the lack of interest. You cant tell me that everyone has a perfect smile with no gum issues, especially my generation. Why is it that we have to do unending searches for these simple yet radical reports? One report I had heard was the Dental Flossing stat from the ADA. Daily flossing could add up to 3 years to your life expectancy. I dont know whatby hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I am "A" political for the most part but dont like spin for any party affiliation. There seems to be a higher than usual number of Q-tips in the races this year and the interest for medical history is high for good reason. I guess the word "outstanding" for someone who had a heart attack and stents installed seemed a bit embellished.by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I showed this to my ND and she was impressed so we started this on Dec 09. She has given as much as 150,000 iu of D3 to some daily with no issues. As for holiday goodies with calcium, not a tempter for me as much as sodium based goodies. Not only the flu is strongest at the end of winter in Feb/Mar, but most of my episodes are Feb to May.by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Gosh, Id hate the see the bad health report! Great spin from the camp. And Bernie didnt have a heart attack until a week after the stent report.by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
As the coined phrase from my neck of the woods says, It is what it is. Its a popular post now, no matter if its tucked on the last page of the Warren report. General Health is possibly the correct title for alternative treatments now. As for this site, its one that is most popular to refer patients from alternative sites who are seeking medical or great ablation advice. It is what it is.by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve, why not ADK instead of just D?by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Carey, understood. I guess I was referring to treating the triggers and the protocol for standing meds for Vagal or Adrenal, not only the conversion methods. I dont do well on BB's, but always seem to be scripted for them. I was referencing Amio as a med that could be dated, not that it doesnt work, it does. However, the past med Digitalis was reported to work for adrenal and not vagal, thatby hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well, that explanation will cause me to check into the General Health section daily. I dont disagree with Carey's explanation. These groups need to have some boundaries and controls in place for good reason. Of course we do understand that the scientific facts to back conventional medicine is anything but curative also and is a symptom reliever.by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ive battled LD for 3 years now and afib for 10. Possibly had LD earlier and not diagnosed. There are those now who I refer to as LD Alarmists. Every physical issue you have is related to LD. The parallels of MS, ALS and MD to LD are surprising however. Eventually, if you are diligent, your immune system will defeat LD. Of course there are some medications and supplements you can jump start your sby hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Digitalis, the same Doctors that are still prescribing dangerous Amiodarone? It was one example of a med, yes ancient I know, that worked for adrenal initiated and not Vagal. We disagree and you didnt respond to my point. If we arent treating triggers and only the effect of them, we could be mistakenly treating the heart with meds that wont work. If someone fails a sleep study, we dont prescribeby hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
From my last labs for D levels. VITAMIN D,25-OH,TOTAL,IA/ RESULTS 48 ng/mL. I was told this was an acceptable level by doctors. Does having a medical condition such as afib call for higher levels?by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
As a "Vagal" afib guy who got the gift of it in my 50s and relies on diet, supplements and sleep modification, it certainly has my best interest at heart, pun intended. I ditched the standing meds 3 months after second episode 10 years ago and am in the unending search for that elusive cure. 7 years in NSR rivals the best ablation and certainly deserves a closer look on the afib sectionby hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I avoid NSAIDs for several reasons, but causing afib, isnt one of them. I usually take them twice per year for the onset of a cold and reducing inflammation in my throat.by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Get the book, "Hidden Epidemic". Its all in there. Written by a cardiologist who was in denial about tooth cavitations, but damn those pesky heart attacks got his attention.by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
All good, but wondering why this is the General Health section and not the Afibbers if its pertaining to AF?by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Carey, If Vagal patients can diminish the frequency of episodes by modifying dietary and sleep habits, it would only make sense to treat them differently than adrenal afib patients. The triggers are mostly irrelevant once we are in an episode, however there are certain meds that actually aggravate vagally induced episodes such as digitalis due to its vagotonic action, failing to convert and causiby hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
It was moved by the Thought Police here. Not sure either, seeing how it was mentioned as a question from a book written about afib. I would hope that any and all causes impacting this horrible condition besides the low success ablations and black box warning meds, arent the only topics discussed here? I wont be patronized with a move to general health by ignorance and narrow minded posters.by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Totally agree with you Wolfpack. 100% of my episodes occurred around meals or rest/sleep which I believe to be vagally initiated. It also started in my 50s, another Vagal sign. However, Carey isnt wrong to suggest this is anecdotal reporting and questionable on how to manage or prescribe. I would add that tho my episodes respond nicely to Flecainide while Beta blockers cause issues or lack any reby hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Cir, sorry to hear that. I think there are many positives to removing infectious areas in our mouth. I believe the original studies were mostly related to breast cancer fatalities. Liz, great point, not just with afib, but all conditions. Not that Im against treatment, but at times it seems the experts get lost in their quest for the latest and greatest med and devote little time to researching the cause.by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey is correct on the aspirin. Why is it that most patients trust OTC drugs which come with several lethal warnings over prescribed meds with guidance?by hwkmn05 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sounds like you have it under control. One cavitation should be a breeze compared to a root canal. Is it a molar? Not sure if you have time, but I did serum tests for markers and levels. One in particular was CRP/C-Reactive Protein level which was quite elevated along with LDL. I retest 6 months from the removal.by hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

As there are no absolutes for the cause of our condition, Ive always believed that anything and everything is on the table, especially our teeth. I too was graced with afib one year after receiving my first, and last, root canal in my "heart" molar. I recently had it removed after a natural dentist's warning me it was most likely infected over the last 5-10 years. I read "Hiddby hwkmn05 - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
