Tara I take supplements because I get many many ectopic beats. They used to be very uncomfortable but when I take magnesium, potassium and taurine I don't feel them at all. My EP knows that I take them, is happy with it and makes a note of them in my records. He says that he can't make any comment on their effectiveness because he has not seen any reliable evidence. I have a GP who for many years now has let me manage my own treatment. She won't prescribe anything that she thinks will do me harm but she gives me all the information and then lets me make the decisions. She is the first GP I have ever found who works in this way and I think she is quite unusual. Norm Forgive me if you know this already, but I wonder if you are seeing a cardiologist or an electrophysiologist (EP)? The former are plumbers, the latter electricians, and since AF is an electrical problem an EP is what you need. Some are more skilled and experienced than others and success in fixing AF depends to a great extent on how good your EP is, so go for the best you can find.by Gill - AFIBBERS FORUM
