Thanks Shannon. Yes, I do have the AliveCor. I have the same good impression of it so far. I'll keep an eye on the night measurements. Agree with you on the iWatch. It's early technology but helpful still. All the best, Qby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, that's an interesting perspective. I had a sleep test done a couple of weeks ago at Stanford and am awaiting the results. It's certainly something that I should discuss with the doc there. I'm not sure how long the duration was since the iWatch takes 1 reading every 10 minutes. It's my guess that when it took that reading I was at 138, then it took the next reading 10by Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello everyone, I decided to wear my iWatch to sleep last night and was surprised to see that I had 2 readings of a fast rate of 138bpm while sleeping. The watch takes a measurement every 10 minutes and my each reading only accounted for one of those 10 minutes readings. So it appears there was a brief moment of fast pace. I guess my question is: is this anything to be concerned about?by Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Jackie. So, where does that leave patients these days? Tylenol? Qby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi All, I've gone ahead and had my sleep study at Stanford. I can report that it all went well. I don't have the results as that takes some time to receive. The center seemed well-run and very professional. You arrive around 7 after dinner and they wire you up. I think I had 33 wires attached to my body. Once that is done you go to sleep or at least do your best to try to. The room lby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Everyone, I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Natale as an in-network provider for my California health insurance. I saw him at CPMC and Blue Shield CA considers that in-network. Yeah! Well, I'm thinking of moving to Hawaii and wondering what would happen to my coverage/access to Dr. Natale for future needs. Does anyone have any insight into how Dr. Natale accepts out-of-state coveraby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Shannon. Good to know that Dr. Natale's office plans a 6 month follow up. I wasn't absolutely certain. Do you know if that typically occurs in person? I was planning to move to Hawaii somewhere around 5 1/2 months post procedure. It would be easy enough to wait another couple of weeks but it would be good to plan accordingly. Hi Jackie, That is very helpful thanks again! I guess one more question here. Why not get a prescription for Vit D3 to save costs? All the best, Qby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Jackie. Do you have a recommendation for a Vit D brand/manufacturer? Is it D3 that I should take? All the best, Qby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi, Same situation here. My first EP told me not to come back after I had my ablation with Dr. Natale. I understand in a way and as Shannon says, it's best that he (gracefully) exited if he wasn't interested in continuing care. I did find another EP who was more than willing to see me. She has recommened a 2 week Zio patch at 6 months post ablation and possibly an echo to check for sby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thanks Shannon. The Vitamin D finding was quite astounding and one of the most significant findings from my Function Doctor visit. He too has recommended 5000 IU of Vitamin D, although he didn't mention Vitamin K. What is the role of Vitamin K here? To answer your question. No, I am on Eliquis and not Warfarin. Is there a contraindication for Vitamin K to Eliquis or only Warfarin? All theby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
It also seems that the medical community's opinion of it is that it is quackery. It does seem a little concerning to me as it is stripping out other minerals, which could be essential for good heart health. Seems like mineral deficiencies are the issue with Afib. Thoughts?by Que - AFIBBERS FORUM

Interesting. I just got my Vit D 25-OH D results back and I'm low. 20.2 ng/mL with a reference range of 30-100. What is the recommended therapy? Thanks everyone. From my reading it seems that a non-provoked urine sample over a 24-hour period is a better test. The provoking agent seems to increase the toxic metal count and most toxic metals come out at the beginning of the test. A 24 hour provoking period accounts for that short-term release of toxic metals.by Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, Is there a recommendation for which Transdermal Magnesium Oil to buy? All the best, Qby Que - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi, My functional medicine doctor would like me to be tested for heavy metal exposure just as a precaution. In order to do that I need to take DMSA Captomer 2000mg. I'm currently taking Eliquis 5m 2x daily and Multaq 400mg 2x daily. I'm wondering if there are any side effects or contraindications for DMSA. I am 45 and just had an ablation. One EP preferred to have me go on medication but I decided to have an ablation instead and I feel that was the right decision. From my understanding the longer that your heart is in AFib the more damage is done. Scarring occurs to the heart muscle, your ejection fraction decreases and other changes occur to your heart. Hello, My relative has met with an EP at the New Mexico Heart Institute, who coincidentally was trained by Natale at the Cleveland Clinic, who confirmed what the PCP said. Hi, A family member was tested for AF after my diagnosis and wore a Zio patch that revealed incidents of Supraventricular tachycardia. Her PCP indicated that it was nothing to worry about.
