As I posted I have over an average of 17% PVCs daily. My birthday was 27.8%. I needed to have a functioning day yesterday so I skipped my Crestor, coQ10 and fish oil capsules at 5pm. I was great today. Nsr, I was outside scrubbing dried cement off of pavers with a wire brush, doing all sorts of actives feeling my old self. Tonight I took the above 3 combo and by 8-3 hours later— my heart iby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was driving and suddenly felt a worst than pvc sensation...tachy and arrhythmic. I couldn’t drive and use my Kardia at the same time so at a red light I took an Apple Watch reading which said AF..not the usual inconclusive with pvc. I sent the ekg to Dr natale NP because I was planning to stop multaq and if in AF the plan would change. She said it was PVCs and not AF. That watch is not accurateby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM

We are in the same boat. My EP could have had done my ablation but I asked him if he was better than natale and the reply was I would be in good hands and natale is more experienced. So natale ablated me September 18th. When I have any issues I ask natale’s office NP first. But I remain seeing my primary EP who has twice given me his opinion-multaq for 6 months not 2. Also I am on my primaryby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, you should know from experience with knowing Natale procedures- how long (ball park) would someone who had an ablation need to remain on Eliquis? I saw him recently but we didn’t discuss it —discussed my high % of PVCs instead. Just curious...also what I posted in the past, my Zio patch showed no AF...but I am on Multaq. Dr Natale was gracious enough to allow me to be on Multaq two monby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes Peggy...as an old timer of almost 16 years lurking on this forum, I remember PC (Wasn’t he a MD?) from Hawaii posts. I hope he is still well and free of AF. Peggy, we miss your paleo and “the list” posts! I hope you are well. I adapted an almost pure Paleo diet all these years from your and (I believe is his name) William (?) frequent paleo contributions to this forum.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
No rash/itch with Eliquis. However I look like a leper while on Multaq. Drugs.com mention itch and rash. My rash is nose, checks and forehead. The itch extends from head to between toes and inside eyelids and ears. I’m used to it but the rash is horrible. I have to use topical steroids for it.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM

Mylan, the second manufacturer the FDA approved for the Eliquis generic is in PA. I order from them. Just be proactive and request an USA manufacturer if given the choice.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
It’s not just my husband or me..I call up mom and pop pharmacies all the time (I have no choice from the bigger union pharmacies such RiteAid, CVS, etc, because they order from the same warehouse and lately as a customer I cannot request which Rx manufacturers pills I would digest. However at a small mom and pop pharmacy, the pharmacist KNOWS. They tell me “ohh I only got a supply from India, letby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Micro labs, one of the two FDA picked, is in India. All I can say is good luck! I avoid drugs from India-temperature control compliance.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you, thank you Joe!! I’m married to a pharmacist and he is strict on three beliefs: brand name for cardiac drugs (water pills are ok generic) but beta blockers, Flecainide family drugs, cancer drugs or drugs one prefers not to risk full potency get brand. Rule #2: find out where your generics are made and their temperature control standards. So for us, no hot tropical countries or countby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
The 6L you don’t have to position your phone very close to your knee or ankle...just Bluetooth close. I have it 5-10 feet from me. I read with the microphone one lead you need it close..and with the 6 you place 3/4” below your knee or ankle on skin so there is skin contact plus both of your thumbs. My cardiologist has all his patients buy the kardia6 and BP cup as part of his Kardia program. Iby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, it’s an investment for life, wouldn’t a 6 lead be worth getting? It’s like buying a new phone...better to get more gb right off the start than getting the lowest 64gb thinking you will never use it up. IMHO.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
No Daisy, I read a tread on this forum in 2004 that for some readers it triggered AF...so I didn’t want to try it.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank Pompon, Today and yesterday was “calm”- meaning I had PVCs in high volume but they were not symptomatic enough to be couch bound. (From being too dizzy) If you see the below report, the second week was worst than the first with 27.8% being a real high pvc burden! Dr natale has me increase my magnesium from 200-400mg a day. It makes a difference in improving my symptoms. I asked hiby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
PVCs: Drinking (natale agreed it happens), eating, bending over, lack of sleep (difficult to sleep with a pounding heart), dehydration, lifting and stress are my triggers. According to my zio patch, my active pvc days are 27-28% of my hr. It’s a freak show. Magnesium does help me. Natale suggested magnesium and coq10by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, so you are saying ones heart doesn't pump as strongly after an ablation? Does this affect ones ej rate when one gets an echo?by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotekeeferbdeefer That's a lot of PVC burden. Sucks. But during that time it never led to afib? (I'm assuming a PVC could start an afib attack) So there is some good news. You're in a viscous cycle of having PVCs, not being able to sleep, and getting more PVCs as a result. But do PVCs actually lead to more PVCs via a mapping mechanism? That would be interesting to learn more aboutby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
I saw Dr Natale yesterday for my 3 month follow up for my AF ablation. From November 27th to December 11th prior I wore a 14 day Zio patch so the results would be available to Natale before yesterday’s appointment. While I am still on Multaq (my choice for another month-they usually keep a patient on for only 2 months), I have not had an AF since the ablation. Natale said It looks good. Peer report of onset of PVCs after an RF ablation for AF —patients in study who never experienced pvc prior to their ablation. So I’m not the only one. I’m just sensitive. Mayo Clinic should had mentioned it along with their blanket of ailments and risks associated with an ablation.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, you quoted the same to me and my pvc’s are as active as since the week after my ablation when they started. I too get them all day but they are more violent between 5pm-12am midnight like the person who posted this question. Today my HR during the pvc freak show was 165. Yesterday was 124. I had 162 hr three and a half weeks ago and 205 hr three weeks ago. That lasted 3 minutes. I can’t waby susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
If you call PVC an arrhythmia then yes I never had it before my ablation but it’s my unwanted companion now. Carey suggested it would go away. I’m still waiting...2.5 months. Maybe lack of sleep is the trigger. It’s a catch 22. My pvc’s are violent in the evening and it keeps me awake. Pounding and vibrating chest. Like a caged animal. I was on Eliquis for over 6 months and my ER regularly were eager to cardio convert EXCEPT they won’t without a TEE if one had flown a long international flight in the past 10 days. It’s their policy. Other than that one time, as long as I am on an anticoagulants they just cardio convert.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey is right, a cardio conversion is a breeze. I may share his record. It’s close to 20. You just shouldn’t eat or drink 6 hours before.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
They cannot do that in CA. It’s a two party privacy law that one must post a sign that a recording device is being used. It’s a felony without permission.by susan.d - AFIBBERS FORUM
