The only antibiotic ive ever been able to take safely is Keflex. All! Others amox Levaquin augmentin etc cause my heart to act up Plus what happens when youre on Equis?by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Sackman interesting although i dont grasp but like u ill do what Natale says. Did you get a watchman? So i guess what happens at Mitral is reason for eliquis not LAA? Tby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
George is correct. My afib had morphed into atypical flutter. Left sided flutter. I had asked Dr Natale: what determines wether or not you ablate/isolate the LAA? Dumb question: his answer: wether its producing electricity to cause the flutter ! So yes mine was. 9 days ago was my procedure and i am on eliquis until dec or jan then i would gladly do the Watchman should i fall into the 60%. Then afby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Up at 530 uber to Austin airport. Flt back to Charlotte. Rough landing due to weather so I immediately start pac/pvcs which imo are mostly emotional. Just my thoughts. I had them once a few yrs ago in Chicago i had a blip. Freaked it was afib then spent 3 days of pac s. I asked Natale to ablate my brain. So anyway no tach. No groin bruise no peracarditis. They managed all that so well. My LAAby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Only been 34 hrs and we re sitting outside eating and having coffee! Not much. But im a B+ right now Groins look good. No tach for over 24 hrs. Woke up at HR 73! A touch of Peracarditis but a 2 on 1-10 Wow feel good! Slept well. I was exhausted. Im beginning to understand this Natale cult now lol. Honestly like Carey told me: had i only gone to him first! I still love Holshouser but going intby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
If in 6 months the watchman goes in i can probably take no eliquis. Id love that Natale talking about Olympics today. He s a freak. So is every tech and nurse. My arms are veiny And everytime i get an iv its an issue with valves etc. yesterday one try. I didnt even feel the iv! Dealing with Porsches not Model Tsby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
This one was done in areas that have never been touched. LAA etc. i was released and tachs stopped I had it happen the morning after my 2012 ablation and this one was managed to avoid the pericarditis i get. So far none I used a little colchicine for a week then this am i got Lasix in my IV. I urinated 1/2 gallon over 3 hrs. That has stopped. They gave me 2 big potassium tabs and i have mag glby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr natale was just in. He laughed. Im getting sinus tach runs 100-105. He said to forget it. Itll go away Also i did not have junctional ekg. Sinus. He laughed and left said wait 8 weeks. I feel betterby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr Natale has not been in yet but after they gave me iv lasix ive been in tach 3-4 times. 105-07 Ill see what he says. Idk if its flutter or sinus tach. Only been 16 hrs since ablation so ?by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Pretty good night. No tach or afib. Maybe a few pvc s ? BP 124/67. Hr 67 to 77 depending on movement No peracarditis…….yet. They took more blood at 5am. Urinating well. Appetite good. Groin bleeding minor has stopped My ekg though said Junctional??? Ill ask Natale Really appreciate the support & comments. I feel pretty good and its only been 15 hrs Tomby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
He said when the LAA is ablated it still acts as though its in afib thus the eliquis. Only when the watchman is put in can you come off He did complement Holshouser’s ablation. Said only two spots were cornary sinus and LAA. He still was “wait and see” no guarantees So we ll see. I ll need a week to recover , here til monday BP 126/72. HR 78 at 815 CTby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
It didnt start til 2:30. Lasted barely 2 hrs. Dr Natale just left my room. He did the cornary sinus and LAA. Seemed positive but still Lets wait and see. Coming back tomorrow am. No meds cept eliquis and carafate. Can go Back on propananol. Said in 4-5 months touchup and watchman to get off eliquis. Said has to be careful With both ablated areas. So id do watchman to get off eliquis. Said takby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I didnt go in til 230. Out at 430. Bed now. Groggy still. HR 77. Gonna walk in 20 mins Right now rough. Natale will come by. So idk what he Did yet??? Staying night hereby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well we did eat at Loro last trip so tomorrow in Austin i think bar bq. I can eat whatever til 11. On eliquis so 1/2 a beer? Lol Appreciate the humor! Beginning fri am im no longer in control Thanks Susan & George!by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Although ill arrive in Austin without The Ruby Slippers i have a Aug 6 date with The Wizard (Dr Natale) im hopeful he can exterminate the Flying Monkeys that without notice wreck havoc in my left Atrium. Of my many hobbies: lifting weights, my Porsche, Dance (yes i take dance lol) fountain pens, growing flowers, mid century furniture etc ive tried to place myself in this scenario: the Scarecrow?by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon told me many weeks ago that Natale would most likely do a CT since my 3/29 ablation was done at another center and were there to be any negative issues he can show: this is what i started with. He called the ablation extensive so I understand besides Nurse Shannon said yesterday that there could be ateas they want to stay away from ie PV Stenosis. I have 5 PV not the more common 4. Afterby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I should have said for 4-5 monthsby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
👍. Oh and something interesting that Shannon told me. Nurse Shannon. That theyve had some patients have arrhythmia issues for 4-5 months post covid vax More good news lolby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ok thanks Carey. I had a ct before 3/29 and an echo last Dec. no stenosis but both prior to 3/29. He redid my pvi too I had a TEE 7/16 but that doesnt show PV i guess just clotby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
So nurse Shannon called today and gave me all the details i need for Friday. Says i wont be 5 am because i get covid tested. IV. EKG then a CT Scan. She said to test for PV Stenosis from previous 3/29 ablation. I know nothing about that?? Only outa towners are staying the night due to covid The past 4 days ive had short episodes of 132 124 117 etc but all terminated. Theyve weaned me off everytby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Shannon & Carey. I dont have a way to create flutter anyway. Hopefully theyll have my Zio Patch readings by 8/6. Thats 3 weeks after they received it back But yes i know he can envoke flutter. I am still having periodic rate jumps as if fluttter wants to start. I have a teleconference with Nurse Shannon 8/3 Tomby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
So sorry Pixie. Why dont they at least cardiovert you outa this? You ve been on eliquis (how long). Or…. Why has an anti arrhythmic been tried. Flec or Propafanone? This way you might buy some time from the misery til you make a more serious move Tomby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lol !!! I know wwll history well but totally forgot that aug 6 was The Bomb. My dad is 95 and in Navy during the war. Hes very proud. He taught us alot Yes i can try a few triggers??? But no craft beer 😢 Trent today made an interesting comment: i told him in march i was 144 pre ablation. May 125 for 7 days then converted. July 10-16 115 cardioverted. He said probably 3 seperate circuits. Anywayby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr Natale s office just called me and due to a cancel ive been moved to Aug 6 a Fri rather than Sept 14 so my natual anxiety kicks in lol so this will be exactly 3 weeks from my cardioversion and TEE which was clear and im on Eliquis My 3/29 ablation was called extensive by Dr Natale so im hopeful that the atypical flutter requires not alot of burns??? Anyway i dont have to sweat out going outby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ok thanks G. Just wanted the education. I never have afib anymore so its not of use to me anyway. Ive only had atypical flutter Tby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ok educate me (us) why is Flecanide a type of risk? I used loading propafanone 600 mg back in my afib days. Worked 60-70 % of the time But that was in the era of inside 48 hrs ok to cardiovert. Last week when i was cardioverted an EP who id never met told me a clot can form in 15 mins! Im just not sure about that. We went from 48 hrs to 15 mins?!by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
And here is a perfect example from 2 experienced knowledgeable afibbers and me and the thinking is all over the place. Take flec! No flec wont work. Wait it out. No don’t wait I too sometimes think that the longer youre in the bad rythm the more likely its to return sooner. Not sure science backs that up. It all goes back to Jackie: we re all experiments of one. I read an interesting article lby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
At 80 on eliquis id wait too. 80 just not devestation feeling and he might convert. Surprised ep didnt offer something? Flec or rythmol to see if itd convert him I cant remember if they want to observe you the first time using? Back in 08 i was given 4 150 mg propafanone and sent home to take. A loading dose. That load dose may be less now. See if Carey chimes in?by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sounds fine Genie. Thanksby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
