Atrial tachycardia post ablation

Atrial tachycardia post ablation

Just wondering if it's common after an ablation to experience atrial tachycardia and what is the treatment for it.
I believe it's difficult to control with drugs.

I sometimes experience tachycardia and nausea for unknown reasons.
Could be exercise with little effort, but not all ways. Could be a little anxiety.?

There should not be atrial tachycardia, but just a higher heartbeat. What leads you to suspect only atrial tachycardia?

Most people who have an ablation report an elevated HR for weeks, sometimes up to a year, It almost always reduces over time...you just have to be patient. If you're not getting AF or flutter, and your monitor says NSR, you're doing well and can relax.

Atrial tachycardia actually can be a complication after an ablation for afib.

What makes you think it is Atrial Tachycardia?

I think gloaming was saying they don't think it's AT even though said you thought it was.

You're a nurse so I assume when you say tachycardia that you mean your HR is over 100. Correct? If so, that's not just the HR elevation that normally happens after an ablation.

After a little exercise, mowing a small lawn, I notice a sick feeling and headache, check my pulse via fitbit and its 124BPM.
I sat down for a while, took my blood pressure (125/78) recorded an ECG. result are attached.
This is typical of these events. which are happening more often lately.

It looks like sinus tachycardia at first glance. Inappropriate sinus tachycardia can also be a common occurrence after ablation. If you have a solid Cardiologist/EP, they should be made aware of your symptoms. They can always try a beta blocker or in my case, we used Ivabradine 6 months post ablation to treat the sinus tach.

I agree with Megan.
