I have covid 19 and find that Paxlovid shouldn't be taken with flecinide. Is there an alternative?

Not to my knowledge.

And according to drugs.com's interaction checker, these have a major interaction, so I wouldn't combine them at all. You can stop the flecainide and take your chances with afib or stop the paxlovid and take your chances with covid. I'd take my chances with afib before covid.

Flecainide has a fairly long half life - 12 - 27 hours, so if you decide to take Paxlovid, make sure your doctor considers that.

Thanks Carey and Daisy,

I got the script and there was a warning "Check for bruising and bleeding" that put up a red flag (i am taking 150mgs Padaxa) so as i am feeling a little beter, have decided to not take the Paxlovid.
Also if I was to get Afib I couldn't use flecainide for 24 hours.
