Will flecainide work after being unsuccessful?

Will flecainide work after being unsuccessful?

After my 3 month check-up with the P. A. who assists my EP, she was reading the chart and used the phrase, "well you failed the flecainide" and that is why you are on Amiodarone. My question is, once I have achieved NSR due to the amiodarone, will replacing it with flecainide allow for the drug to now work and keep me in NSR?

Not likely, but in what way did it fail? Did it simply quit working or did it cause intolerable side effects or become pro-arrhythmic?

Amiodarone. Did they try anything other drug besides this? Why not Ticosyn (Defetilide) or something else first.

I'm guessing that you haven't had an ablation as of yet.
