Getting off eliquis....
July 14, 2020 06:09PM
So it's been about 4 months since my Natale ablation. I just got the zio report back and it was A-OK! In fact I had 0% burden. So, it appears I'll be able to now get off eliquis. I'm so happy about that. Do they usually allow you to get off "cold-turkey" or is there usually some type of weaning off dosage?

Thanks to this group for your continued support and encouragement!

Cold turkey is the usual. There have been concerns about stopping anticoagulants abruptly and at least one study seemed to provide evidence that it should be tapered, but I found that study rather flawed in its conclusions. In general, EPs don't believe there's a need to taper.
