Blood pressure and HR after converting.

Just curious if lower HR and BP is common among folks.

In NSR, my HR is usually right at 60; sometimes lower (in fact it used to run consistently in the 40s due to endurance bicycling. Always has been. My BP is usually 130/70 ish. Lately, I have noticed a lower HR and BP post conversion. Always returns to my normal by the next day. By lately, I mean the three or four episodes a year.

Today I converted after a 14 hr episode, which was strangely mild (usually I'm very symptomatic), and an hour later my BP was 101/45 and my HR was 45. I feel fine, no effects from either.

I’d guess that the ANP/BNP secretions from the fibrillating atria expelled a lot of sodium via the kidneys and that led to lower BP and HR.

That’s just my SWAG. My own experience post conversion was an elevated HR for several hours. Everyone’s different.
