Spine issues cause arrhythmias?

Spine issues cause arrhythmias?

Just curious if anyone was diagnosed with any type of spine issues that was causing their arrhythmias? I’ve had five ablations and one mini maze for Afib/aflutter/atrial tach RVR My last two were by Dr Natale and now he wants me back in in February for another ablation. I’ve mentioned to every specialist that I have a hemiagoma on my T6/T7 spine area. At least that is what my last MRI with contrast says. I’ve had thoracic spine pain for the past three and a half years with my arrhythmias getting worse in that time and especially since/after a mini maze in 2017. Every specialist tells me that it would not trigger an arrhythmia. I’m not so sure.

FWIW, I’ve had intermittent T4 area issues (painful muscle spasms lasting a few days pulling my neck out of line) all of my adult life and I’ve often had runs of ectopics during osteopathic treatments.

I have heard of Nerves triggering Arrythmias. Have you tried to discern what circumstances is causing or when your AFIB is triggered? Have you tried to figure out if you have Vagal or Adrenergic mediated AFIB?

It usually always seems to be different movement. One being lifting my arms up. Also I’ve had gallbladder liver pain on and off for years now but other than one HIDA scan saying I have a low functioning gallbladder but then a second one saying it was fine and a slightly enlarged vein on my liver a gastro wants to keep an eye on. Sometimes when I push on that area when I have pain I can trigger premature beats.

I once had physical therapy and she got a towel and pulled to stretch my neck. I went into AF.

What was Dr. Natale's analysis of why your still plagued with recurrent AFIB, even after 5 Ablations and a Maze procedure? What is he going to try to do that he didn't already do in the 2 prior Ablations he performed on you?

Not sure. Kristi at Scripps just said he wants me back for another ablation. I guess I should have been more clear. I have actually been going into aflutter with a barency and just recently with RVR. Ever since the Mini Maze in March 2017 i have stayed out of Afib but keep going into atrial tach or a flutter even after two Natale procedures. I was pretty good for about a year after the last Natale procedure other than some Sinus tach on and off.

Unfortunately, flutter is a common result of Maze procedures. It's so common that they came up with the "convergent" procedure in which a surgeon does an external lesion set and then an EP does an RF ablation, all in the same procedure.
