Quitting smoking and palpitations

Giving up smoking for the 2nd time since I was diagnosed with afib last year, this time for good hopefully.
Since I quit I've been having more skipped beats, or palpitations during the day, more than 10, where as I used to have maybe 1.
Been happening for 2 days now.
Anyone experienced this before, is it from the nicotine withdrawls or just a coincidence, and something else possibly happening?
