A quick update. My three month post-op ended today. As far as I know, I have been in steady NSR (with a few Pacs now and then). Sometimes feel "on the verge" but don't go into afib. One lead EKG (Alivecor) shows very small p wave but it looks normal on 12 lead. Will have stress echo soon to test mechanical functioning. Thanks to you all -- especially Shannon!

That's great news! Congratulations, and enjoy your NSR.

Great to hear Gobears!

And you are more than welcome, it has been my pleasure. Time flies eh?!

Let's touch base soon.

Be well,
Shannon

The standard way to use the AliveCor is a Lead I presentation.

About half way down this page <[www.richardbogle.com] he shows a Lead II presentation with a more prominent p wave.

The author shows putting the device on the left knee & right hand. I've found I can get this by putting the device around my left hip with right hand. This is more convenient as I can slip the AliveCor below my waistband while sitting rather than having to roll up my pant leg. I also tried it on my lower left leg by my ankle along with my right hand with the same result.

This has to do with Einthoven's triangle <[en.wikipedia.org]

Thanks, George. You are accurate. I have tried that and it works for getting a better visualization of the p wave. By the way, your fasting stuff has me fascinated!
