Just got a call from my insurance broker (known him for 20 years) - I had a medical exam for a new improved policy he was touting. He was wondering what catheter ablation was, seemed unsure how the Ins Co would react. I'll find out in due course

Got my answer. They don't like it. They didn't seem to care much about the PAF. So take-away is probably do life insurance stuff before ablation, at least for the insurer I used (one of the big 5)
