Rain (drop in barometric pressure) seems to be one of the triggers for my LAF. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. I also seem to have some relief from the frequency of palpitations (precursor to LAF) taking a VERY low dose of Alprazolam (Xanax) 0.25 mg. twice a day to relieve stress.

took me years to make the relationship, but yes I have. Mike
Do you have episodes more frequently before or during rain? Have you found anything that helps? I can usually shorten the episode by taking Propafenone or Diltiazim.

I have noticed on a number of occasions that I get PACs sometimes leading to AF when an area of low pressure is moving up the east coast of the U.S. As the center of the low approaches Virginia, my symptoms occur.

Had an episode today, and it was raining. Would not be surprised is there is a connection between barometric pressure and AFIB episodes.
