safe to have surgery?

Hi I have had two episodes of AF almost 3 years ago (initially caused by too much thyroid meds). I may have a cosmetic (for lack of better description) procedure done that would require anesthesia and probably some pain meds afterwards. Would it be safe to have this done? Thanks anneh

Most likely yes. You'll probably be pre-screened for the procedure.

Good luck!

I had finger surgery under GA a few years ago when I was first diagnosed with PAF. I went into the procedure in SNR, they told me I was in AF during the surgery, or in and out of it, and I awoke in SNR. The anestheologist was apprised that I had PAF and it didn't seem to affect his using GA.
