It looks like they are taking the best of the best and hybridizing them.
But, who knows what goes on behind closed doors.
Monsanto may be in there somewhere in the background, with its GMO stuff.

Thanks for posting those two links Todd and Liz. What a difference. One about a company (Monsanto) that designs food for profit and control without caring about the damage to the environment or the health of the people. What is wrong with the US (or any ) government that they allow this monopolizing to continue unabated?

The Brazilian govt. agency should be praised for their efforts to develop better quality foods for poorer people.
