I'm sending this to all my friends who shop that store.
The thing about buying/eating foods grown in China that many nutritionists have been pointing out for years is that... with that atmosphere, the huge amount of air pollution from burning coal as a major fuel source means there is a large amount of pollution-fallout from that contains so much toxic heavy metals including lead, mercury, arsenic that even if they certify it's grown organic, it truly is not. If it were lab analyzed, they wouldn't pass the organic test.
And, we all know about certification agencies...we've seen that fiasco at work in "organic" produce farms in Mexico. Organic herbals from India have received the same type of criticism.
Better to buy US locally-grown and foods that are in season. We have enough from our own pollution to deal with without importing it and paying higher prices as well.
