Frozen vegetables as compared to fresh?

I'm a lazy person in the cooking sense.

I am sure going to a farmers market or a very good organic food shop is a better way but the organic shops with easy access here often have very tired fruit and vegetables.

I'm in a normal supermarket. I have a choice of fresh vegetables or frozen. How much difference is there apart from any questions of cost?
